Also, the 30.1'C at Hallands Väderö, and 30.6'C at Gothenburg aren't actually the max temp. It's just the warmest hourly reading. The max temp will be higher. Yesterday for example, Gothenburg had ita highest hourly reading at 28.3, but the warmest temp between 06-18 was set at 28.7 in post. As soon as Ogimet updates with data at 18.00, we'll have the actual highs.

I like how the record warmest May will be completely according to how anomalous they were this particular month rather than their actual potential for warm months, for decades to centuries.
Umeå might not even beat its previous record, but most other stations in the country are beating their old records by 1-2'C and thus the record will stand for decades and centuries to come.

32.7c at Etne is the new May all -time high in Norway. Old record 31.8c from last year.
Oslo Blindern new record is 31.1c, so beaten by Bergen with just 0.1c.
Honorable mention to Evanger near Bergen 32.1c
29.9c at Kotsøy warmest in Mid-Norway, the warmest air did not reach Trondheim region until late today. Warmer tomorrow.

Would it also break the record for most rainfall in one May month urania93? Then at least that's something memorable about May 2018 for your region. Unsurprisingly I have a few records to confirm as well: These following records for Norrköping's station this month are now safe to claim: Highest avg high for May Highest mean for May Highest number of 25°C days for May Highest monthly sunshine for May Highest avg high for a non-summer month Highest monthly sunshine for a non-summer month Highest number of 25°C days for a non-summer month Also looking at it, May will be the warmest non-summer month in Norrköping's history; it's at 15.4°C up until 30 May and the old record (15.2°C Sep 2016) will be defeated with a solid 22/7 day that keeps it above that mark. All of these records will have been broken in this entire region so they're safe to claim for Nyköping too! Unbelieveable once-in-a-lifetime May...

All these records were broken in Turku too, except 25C days which was tied.

I haven't seen all-time stats for 25°C days here but since it's way off the Russian landmass and less front-loaded than Turku, there's no way that wasn't broken. There have been 9 such days, and there's an absolute impossibility that has ever been achieved before. To put that into perspective, May 2016 was the warmest I've experienced here, yet had only two such days...

Turku had 6, but there were three times 24.7C and once 24.8C.
Lahti had 9, and additionally 4 more with temps from 24.6C to 24.9C.

Would it also break the record for most rainfall in one May month urania93? No, the rain amount is just above average (190 mm while the average for the weather station considered is 130 mm). The record is 564 mm in May 1810, when a really severe flood occured. Your records look much more interesting and enjoyable.

I'm not certain about some of these but I'm pretty confident May here broke the record for highest average Tmax (17.3C), Tmean (12.3C), most days above 20C (9) and earliest date to hit 25C (7th). I'll have to wait a bit to get exact sunshine figures for my area but it will be about 220, not a record but the most in May since 1956.
It was a nice welcome extra month of summer by our standards but nothing that's really going to stick in the memory like what they've just had in Scandinavia.

This May was the warmest on record for the Raleigh area, beating the old record (from 1896) by 0.1ºF with a mean temp of 74.0ºF (23.6ºC). There were 16 days with a low of at least 68ºF/20ºC, beating the previous record of 9 days from 1896. One daily record low was set and three more were tied, and one daily record high was tied as well. This record warm May came on the heels of the seventh coldest March-April period on record, meaning spring wound up having near average temperatures overall.

Milwaukee, WI had a new monthly record high in May. On the 27th the high was 95F/35C beating the old record by 1 degree. The state record is an insane 109F/43C on May 31, 1934 in Prairie Du Chien in the southwest of the state. That's higher than the state records for June and August, and close to the July record of 114F/46C in Wisconsin Dells on July 13, 1936. www.infoplease.com/science-health/weather/wisconsin-temperature-extremes

Today, June 5th, marks 30 years since Saskatoon set its all time heat record of 40.6C at the airport weather station and 41C at the University station. The following day featured a nighttime low of 24C and a daytime high of 40C, giving it a mean of 32C, which I'm pretty sure is the warmest daily mean ever recorded in Saskatoon.

The low of 74 (23 C) on May 31 was the record warmest May low.
May was also the record warmest May, squeezing by 2015 in the last few days.
We also had 25 days exceeding 70 (21 C), a new record for May.

The 16.23" (413 mm) of precipitation at HWO and 15.15" (385 mm) are almost surefire records, as the avg precip in May is around 4-6" (101-152 mm) around South FL. This May was extremely wet due to a near constant tropical flow into the region bringing lots of moisture and instability into the area (but remarkably stable temperatures).

It doesn't have Oklahoma's all-time record low of -31ºF/-35ºC set in 2011. Also, I find it interesting that Oklahoma set a record low in my lifetime. I'm not used to seeing many all-time record lows set this century. The 16.23" (413 mm) of precipitation at HWO and 15.15" (385 mm) are almost surefire records, as the avg precip in May is around 4-6" (101-152 mm) around South FL. Actually, 2003 was wetter in both places, with 17.57" (446 mm) at HWO and 15.74" (400 mm) at FLL.
