The outlook looks awful, proper plant killer stuff. My neighbour's magnolia tree will surely suffer. Bet tons of coldies are wetting their knickers on netweather!
Before it all disappears here's a nice look at the temps across England today:

Imagine living in Bournemouth and going out to Swanage for the day, to find that it's only 12c. Par for the course when going to the Yorkshire coast. It can be a good 10C cooler at Scarborough or Bridlington during a heatwave than Leeds/York/Sheffield etc.

Shoeburyness: 18c London City: 24c Heathrow: 28c Farnborough: 30c

Paris-Montsouris reached 25.5°C @ 17:18 for today's high. That's the 2nd warmest ever recorded in March after 25.7°C on 25 March 1955, missing to beat the monthly record merely by 0.2°C. Tomorrow has a great chance to rise higher than today. If it's gonna be unseasonably warm, let's hoping to see a memorable record. Interestingly, Perpignan was the coldest French major city with 18.1°C high, situated in the southernmost part of the country. Barcelona was even cooler and didn't observe 17°C today.

Harstena in Sweden recorded 19.7C today, which is a station record, but not a Swedish one. Frederiksberg in Denmark recorded 18.7C. Norway recorded whothefuckknows. So while much of Europe basked in nice spring warmth, only Turku, Umeå, Riga and Põlva had shitty ordinary weather.
I mean, 12.7C and 11.2C are well above average, but they're lame compared to places being 15C above average.

Snow totals increase on the I 81 corridor from Scranton to the Canadian border. Ithaca, NY could see nearly a foot of snow.

We stayed well below freezing today (highest hourly reading was -5.8C), however most of the snow we got yesterday has already melted. This is the time of the year when the sun is strong enough to melt snow once you go above -10C or so.
Now that our two day cold snap is over we're heading right back to above average temperatures, with most days in the forecast having highs above 10C (our average highs in that time frame go from about 4C to 7C).
