Overcast, some drizzle. Low 7.4C and high 12.7C in Riga today.
11.2C/1.8C here, so surprisingly mild night there. No rain today.
The fact that nights are relatively mild id the only advantage of being overcast. It has not gone below 6C last night. Thick fog this morning.

Harstena in Sweden recorded 19.7C today, which is a station record, but not a Swedish one. Frederiksberg in Denmark recorded 18.7C. Norway recorded whothefuckknows. So while much of Europe basked in nice spring warmth, only Turku, Umeå, Riga and Põlva had shitty ordinary weather.
I mean, 12.7C and 11.2C are well above average, but they're lame compared to places being 15C above average.
Lier was the warmest with 20.1'C

A significant snowstorm is on the cards for NE USA, especially in upstate NY. Mostly heavy wet snow though

The south is stuck under a cloud today, so the March record looks like it won't happen. However, it's not far off it for us, with nearly 23°C now being recorded.

Lier was the warmest with 20.1'C Lier isn't part of SMHI:s network. Better to stick to the official stations.

Mud season in full swing in Southern Finland. Another note, your birch trees are a bit different than ours, must be a different sub species.

Some spring flooding of the river Vantaa in Helsinki There seem to be so much snow! A bit surprising. We are unlucky in weather today, overcast all day, currently 10C in Riga. Lithuanians are luckier: it is 17C and sunny in Vilnius right now.

Yeah, Helsinki had quite a lot late winter. Here everything has melted already.

Östergarnsholm, a small islet 3km east of Gotland island (largest Swedish island), went from 9.9'C at 15.43 to 17.1'C at 17.47, 7.2'C in 4 minutes, and 3.2'C in one minute between 11.7'C and 14.9'C at 15.44 and 15.45 yesterday. The reason is the winds shifted to suddenly blowing heavily from the west, from Gotland (and the warm western airmasses over the mainland) as opposed to the cold Baltic sea.

Very disappointed that Montsouris missed breaking the March record by 0.2°C today. (25.7°C > 25.5°C) However, both airports in Roissy and Orly succeed to surpass the previous record.Nevermind! Didn't expect at all the temperature could rise after 18h, really made it beating 0.3°C of the old record! 26.0°C @ 18:26 Location | Today's High | Yesterday's High | Record High Before 2021 | Montsouris | 26.0°C | 25.5°C | 25.7°C | CDG(Roissy) | 25.3°C | 24.8°C | 23.5°C | Orly | 25.3°C | 25.1°C | 24.4°C |

Despite the near-complete shower coverage in my area, not a single drop fell at my location. Today also ended up being quite a bit hotter than forecast too. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. They were forecasting 70% chance of rain tomorrow earlier today, but NWS has downgraded it to only 40%.

It was 20C here less than 3 hours ago. It's now 7C. The wind suddenly changed direction, and was so cold! Still, two 21C days in a row in March isn't bad at all.
