Looks like Christchurch has recorded its first frost already:

High was 81 (27.0 c) today. Despite the mid month cold, itβll end up with the T-3rd most 80 f days (4).
More trees are blooming with the recent warmth. The rancid bradford pears are blooming everywhere, but thereβs also a bunch of pretty pink and white trees blooming that actually smell good. Big trees are still like 95% bare though.

Quite a difference in leaf out in Munich this year compared to last, is this also the case throughout Europe? Images are same date and time. I found this pic from 23 April 2020, showing what spring foliage usually looks like.
This year, many trees are still bare.
Last year was the sunniest spring on record, and one of the warmest. The foliage this year is probably closer to normal than last year's.

Not still waiting well into May like this year, or in 2013. That pic from last year is far closer to normal than what we are seeing now, where we aren't even half way.

We officially hit 25.7C yesterday! This was our warmest temperature since September 19th when we also hit that exact same temperature. Unfortunately the 10C low we had in the forecast for last night was a total dud, as we ended up dropping below 4C this morning.

But some small green buds showing on small bushes, maybe another few days. But last year it looked like this around May 12, so we are almost 2 weeks ahead of last year. I have not been in the UHI, so downtown there may very well already be green showing already.

Had a very strange dew point drop just now. DP dropped from around 71 F (22 C) to a low of 55 F (13 C) in about 10 minutes, then quickly rebounded to 73 F (23 C) in a similar time frame. It seems to be holding steady in the low 70s F for now. RH reached as low as 32%. It seems to be very localized; North Palm Beach Airport and unofficial stations in my area recorded the low DPs, but Stuart airport didn't seem to be affected.

Very slightly. After looking at it, it seems the DP drop exactly corresponds to a shift in wind direction from NE to NW, then back to NE again.

Disappointingly cold. Low of 1.9C (frost in the suburbs) and high of only 11.5C. Based on the forecast, 13C and and even 14C were possible...
May 2020 had been the coldest May of XXI century here and so far May 2021 has started even colder and the first decade (May 1 - May 10) looks depressing.

Grass is getting noticeably green though. What would really help now is getting a few good rainy days, as it's still incredibly dry and we're still getting some fairly cold nights on a regular basis as a result.

from Wednesday afternoon during a hot day; mid 80s over the Hudson in New Jersey; upper 70s in NYC and most of Long Island, low 60s by the water. temperature difference seemed mostly from ocean influence

High was 87 (30.4 c) today, the warmest itβs been since September.
Supposed to be much cooler tomorrow, hopefully with storms.

They're still saying it's going to get up to the 80s with partly sunny skies this afternoon. Mostly cloudy and 71F now. I thought it'd be warmer by now. If I wanted warmer weather, which I don't, I'd be greatly disappointed. But now I'm finding myself pleasantly surprised that it's still nice outside, and in my apartment, at almost noontime.

Widespread low-mid 90s F have been recorded yesterday in the northern tier(s) of Nebraska and Iowaβthat 97Β°F high in Spencer seems to be localized, if true.
