I thought my PWS recorded a >10'C low last night because the low since 00:00 today was 10.3'C. However, at 23:14, 9.6'C was recorded, so using the SMHI 21:00 day break, it wasn't a >10'C low. In other news 10:00 and 11:00 were 16.2'C and 15.1'C respectively at the airport, compared to 16.0'C and 17.2'C at my PWS, showing once again a more significant and early cooldown at the airport due to seabreeze. Yet the difference in high will still probably not be that significant because of the rapid temperature swings that the airport station records..

How warm is it supposed to be by you? NWS is giving me 84 F (29 C) on Friday, and it's only supposed to be getting warmer from there One bad thing about my job being back in-person is that the dress code doesn't allow shorts. Otherwise you know what I'd be wearing in this weather!

two days of cold rain with air temperatures 6-10ยฐC, dropped the river temperature by almost 20ยฐF. Near summer-like water temperatures gone in a weekend you can see why; water levels were very low before the rainy weekend so all the new, cold rain overwhelmed previous warmth I'd guess larger rivers were somewhat less swingy; but we had a long dry stretch followed by a lot of rain so a big swing everywhere

May has been cool and wet, also cloudy. How wet exactly, I can say in a few days. The UV index has been quite high on sunny days, higher than wo usually forecasts.

Some areas in southeast Australia had the coldest May in like 7 decades. LOL no. Here it's been painfully average by every metric, and the first half of May was one of the hottest and driest EVAH recorded in AU historyโnot even the natives had records of such a hot and dry start to May in the South West Slopes.

High/low of 70/50 on this final day of spring. Marine layer burned off as the low pressure moves further north and offshore, producing a nice partly sunny day, but still several degrees below average. Some thunderstorms this week with the heat cranking up next week.

Quite a difference between airport and downtown this morning. Airport was 2.0C and downtown was 7.5C for a low. Normally itโs around 2-3C variation.

Ah yes, highs were a degree warmer than average here. I should've put "nights" or "mornings". Lol.

The forecast just keeps going up. We're now expected to hit 35C on Thursday and 31C on Wednesday and Friday. Three days in a row above 30C in early June is definitely not common!

^ Yep. Been seeing that both Grand Forks and Fargo in North Dakota are forecast to hit 35-36 C this week, TWC has Grand Forks hitting 99 F (37.2 C) on Friday and they have Fargo at 99 F (37.2 C) on Friday and 101 F (38.3 C) on Saturday! Exciting heat wave up there. NWS Grand Forks weather story: TWC Grand Forks forecast: TWC Fargo forecast:
