You're probably right, although if the limited overs sides are doing badly then they don't lose a chance to shit on them

Our limited over side always were a bit crap, so probably wasn't worth bashering them. When they won the World Cup there was a brief bit of fanfare, but then focus quickly went back to test cricket.
In the long run I expect T20 will almost completely take over. There's where the real growth and finances are at now. Test cricket's the best, but it seems to be struggling in a bunch of countries now.

We have a chance to invest in test cricket, since we're now crap at limited overs. However, it probably won't happen because the world is trending towards T20, the Hundred and eventually there will just be entire matches of super overs

Very tepid test batsman, but he's a different beast in the one day game

We need to convert back to entirely test cricket. Lets make double tests of 4 innings each (10 days), create a new golden age of cricket!

You'll be surpised to learn that Boycott actually enjoys T20. He also thinks that test matches should last no longer than 4 days, with a faster over rate.

Wish the 4 day test idea would just die already. It's enough having it in first-class cricket, but international cricket should always keep the 5 day version.

His main point is that the over rate in first class cricket is really slow, which it is. Teams should be penalised more heavily for it.
Just look at county championships games, nobody's watching, something needs to change or it'll soon be dead.

I definitely agree RE the over rate. Teams are already being penalised and fined for it these days because they're too slow.
Today's Shield match between VIC and NSW had a crowd of only 500, despite there being capacity for 5000 (they are trialling crowds at the moment)

We'll see the numbers tomorrow. Probably won't change much, but even today people were just going solely for the fact that crowds returned to sports events today. Usually there's barely 50 people at the ground, lol

Our County Championship only pulls in 5 old men in funny hats.
The Hundred was a big success in the Summer.

I know none of us really care about the T20 WC right now, but I have some great news - India were unable to progress through to the semifinals.

Good win, but I really hope they keep Marsh as a T20 specialist after that performance.

After weeks of Azeem Rafiq lecturing the country and calling us all racists, it turns out he'd written a bunch of anti-semitic messages on Facebook.
An awkward turn of events.
