It's that time of year where we're starting to think about swimming. Nice days recently in the 70s and 80s here, but it's not time to consider ocean swimming yet, as sea temps here are in the 50s mostly, with a few spots on the immediate shore in the 60s.

Well the SST at our local beach in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico is 71 f (22 c). Warm enough to hop on a plane for a swim.
I will make this relevant to us inland folk and say that Horsetooth Reservoir is currently a frigid 40 f (4 c).

Lake Michigan off the coast of Milwaukee is 48F/9C based on this map. Chicago is 54F/12C. Lake Superior is barely above freezing except in the sheltered spots.  |

Bergen Point, NY closest NCEI station to me for water temps is reporting 62.2ºF (17ºC), average for this time of year is 65. Below due to the recent rainy cold blast. Building heat this and next week should warm the water up nice, hopefully into the 70s for some swimming by mid-June.
