31.6C today, the hottest high in Turku so far this year, beating the previous record of 31.2C recorded in June. Rather muggy too, highest dew point today was 21.1C or exactly 70F. Still 24.5C with a 19.6C DP at 22:50.

Very rare haboob pummeled downtown Tucson today. Normally Tucson is too “wet” for this sort of event but the D4 “exceptional” drought has created a lot of loose dust.

High/low of 81/72 under the marine layer with east winds today. Not as pronounced of an effect as sea temps are well into the 70s now in July.

Took a look at summers where both June and July were above average. During 1991-2020 only 2011, 2002 and 1997 fulfil that criterion, according to infoclimat at least. Of those, only 2011 had both months be >1.0'C above average. (+1.8 and +1.2 for June and July vs 1991-2020)

Had some periods of brief heavy rain from a storm complex that came through this morning. More storms could be redevelop later. Under a slight severe risk due to damaging wind threat. Forecast high today is 85F (7F below normal).

Shitty day today, high of only 71 (22 c) with slate grey skies and drizzle all day.
July has started very cool, wet, and cloudy. And after the first few days, mostly boring light, long lasting rain and no thunderstorms.

Almost a carbon copy of yesterday. 82/72 for a high/low with more rainless marine layer, some sun breaks.

^^^ Quite hot in that spot in Algeria as well! Meanwhile here, it's raining lightly. The fuckers in Mefffff getting all the rain (100 mm+) while we get the clouds and cool temps with none of the benefits. No wonder this place is dry as hell. Fuck this crap.

The record number of consecutive days above 25C in Finland is 26, which was recorded in two places in 2014; Helsinki Kumpula and Kouvola Utti.
This will be absolutely crushed the next days. Kouvola Anjala has now recorded 25 consecutive days above 25C, and there's no end in sight.

This is just extremely unfair. The last time we have seen 25°C was on June 27. Yes, my record high this month so far is 24.6 °C (ironically I was in Paris that day and experienced only 23.9 C there, so my personal record high is evwn lower). Nothing above 23 C in the forecast either...
