Ariete Fucking hell, that looks like something out of central Italy, or even Med. southern France in June. Nuts.
The nearby Utti military airport has had 1C higher lows during this period, which suits better to the Mediterranean "feel", but it's not in the competition, because as you can see it failed to reach 25C twice during this period:

Had a strong t-storm this morning around 6 AM with lot of lightning. Some strikes were pretty close range accompanied by immediate cracks of thunder. Ended up with 1.63" since yesterday (3.34" for July to date). Sun back out this afternoon but might not have been able to reach 90F.

Finland has a bunch of lake-island stations that are pretty insane right now. Sweden doesn't really have equivalent types of stations in lakes. In fairness our lakes are very different to Finland's with Finland's lakes being scattered very densely, with a bunch of them connecting with eachother etc. whereas ours tend to be a lot more "standalone" and disconnected from other lakes. I wonder what the lake surface temperatures are during the day now in Finland. Presumably above 28'C. Wonder if any place has been able to reach 30'C on the surface. Hamina in the eastern part of the Finnish Bay reached 26.6'C yesterday, and surely lake temperatures should be at least 2'C warmer than that? Finland is going to have an insane 30-day average in a week. Look at the lows at these two lake-islet stations in southcentral-eastern Finland! Insane drought this summer at this Finnish Bay island (near the Hamina station that recorded 26.6'C SST's yesterday).

Both islets are tiny, so practically in the middle of the sea (lake). And they are certainly in Central Finland, not Southcentral. We don't use that term anyway.
26C SSTs around Rantasalmi and 24-25C in Liperi.

Got a fair amount of rain yesterday, 1.27" (32 mm) recorded at the airport, PWS near me had 1.71" (43.5 mm) and also dropped to 69.1 F (20.6 C) in the middle of the afternoon during a strong thunderstorm! Not often you see that in the middle of summer. Northern Dade got more rain, Opa-Locka recorded 2.07" (52.5 mm) of rain yesterday, they also dropped to 69 F (20.6 C) during a strong thunderstorm yesterday! w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KOPF.html83 F (28.3 C) with a 74 F (23.3 C) dew point as of 8 am here, headed up to 88 F (31.1 C) with an 80% chance of heavy rain and storms in the afternoon. Should be a similar story to yesterday, we have 1-2" (25.4 - 50.8 mm) of rain in the forecast. Very uniform rain chance across Southern FL today:

Look Doña Jimena , as I said, Foreca expects above average until 8 August at least It gets less red from next week, just yellowish. If I just look at yr.no, the difference is very clear for Riga: this week with highs between 29C and 34C and next week between 23C and 29C. That's not bad, just warm instead of hot.

You should be ashamed sisko, is nothing enough for you? We're having the best summer of our lives, and you are just like "meh, only between 23 and 29C after a week" lol. Come on, man. But I see the same for Turku, 22-27C next week. I might have to book a flight to Morocco to escape this horrible weather.
And I guessed we wouldn't hit 30C today AS PROMISED, but we now did! 30.3C @ 17:00.

Hopefully won't reach 30 here all year. I mean it has done every year since 2014! The normal max temp of the year is about 29.7.

You didn't get my point. The point was that we are currently being spoiled like never before. Most likely this will be the hottest summer on record both in Riga and Turku, so we are in no position to complain about only somewhat above average conditions three weeks away (subject to change). Especially when Western Europe are having a really shitty summer.
And I love this, I want it to be as hot as possible until mid October. But we are not in a place to complain, because we couldn't possibly ask for more (I'd like it, but don't dare to ask). Don't listen to your depressive-melancholic-fatalistic Ukrainian mood, but just enjoy.

Some thunderstorms in Latvia this evening, Riga stays dry as usually, the weather radar some minutes ago:

We indeed do think differently, and it's no problem. And I'm too Northern European, calm (not really) and rational. Yeah I get it, it's always a drama with you Slavic gals. Like in September when the nights will get cool, never mind October you will be like "this weather sucks and I can't take it anymore, I'm gonna slit my wrists or move to Greece". And next March you're again "it's getting warmer, really nice, it will be a glorious summer, I feel great!"

I complained about the useless shitty weather in the unhappy thread the other day and Mother Nature heard my complaint. It's as cool as ever but we're getting the ULL rain I was wishing for. For example 50 mm+ now in Le Bourget. Look at this beauty. 65 mm+ / 2"+ in the eastern suburbs and counting. Must suck to be in the eye of the storm tho, surrounded by all this handsome rain.

Montsouris(18.9°C), CDG(18.5°C), Orly(18.5°C) recorded the lowest daily high for July today since 2016(3rd of July) and Lagny-sur-Marne(18.1°C) since 2015(28th of July), one of the nearest weather station from my location. Precipitation fell from non-convective clouds, which means finally I could enjoy in the rain without worrying about possible thunderstorms. A great representation of my ideal oceanic summer that I've yearned to happen over the many years!
