Had some lightning flashes around last night, believe that. 10.0 / 19.7C today. Squall line heading this way, but will obviously fall over on my doorstep. And as for the next couple of days: 50-55km/h winds according to the BOM, but this is Renmark, so that translates to rediculousness

Amen to this. My only wish was to get a wet summer and the first half indeed fulfills my wishes. Totals since June 1st are already approaching the 300 mm mark a couple dozen km SE of me! It's great not to see the nature suffer like the past 3 years. It's actually my first wet summer since 2014 as I was living near Nice from 2014 to 2017, with disgusting bone dry med summers. Early to mid June was much better though as it was wet, warm and sunny, a much better combo than this lackluster July. That being said, the past 3 summers have taken their toll. A lot of damage has been done and maybe half the spruces as well as many birches, beeches and even oaks have died from the repeated severe droughts. Is it the case in Germany as well? Yes, very large patches of spruce forest are dead here (hopefully they get replaced by broadleaf trees), also some pines.
Btw, yesterday's rainfall totals: 99 mm here, widespread totals above 100 mm in the Eifel mountains which resulted in severe flooding. In the last 48 hours, we have recorded 154 mm in Aachen, and already 334 mm since June 1st!

You should be ashamed sisko, is nothing enough for you? We're having the best summer of our lives, and you are just like "meh, only between 23 and 29C after a week" lol. I just prefer heat, especially during vacation. You will miss this heat after a week, I promise.[redacted] Amen to that! In fact, any sub-80ยฐF highs in the midst of summer get to my nerves, but then again I live in place(s) where sub-80ยฐF highs in mid-summer aren't very commonโthough I'm not in Rawme (Rome) right now, but in Moscow for a week or two. Consider me lucky to visit during this heat wave, it's reached 93.4ยฐF (34.1ยฐC) yesterday (VVC site that is): ogimet.com/cgi-bin/gsynres?ind=27612&lang=en&decoded=yes&ndays=2&ano=2021&mes=07&day=15&hora=06

0.13โ (3 mm) fell this morning. This is now 13/14 days with rain this month. Despite all the rain, the total is only 4.01โ (102 mm) so not a noteworthy wet month, just very frequent rain. What Iโve noticed even more than the rain is the clouds. Lots of overcast days with steady rain much of the day which is unusual for summer. Using the Iroquois RAWS, thereโs only been 63 sun hours do far, which is a pathetic 32% possible sunshine. This is in Rochester?

So? People don't always update those things
Well they are morons then. And Steeler does update it. So yes, in Rochester he is.

Some pretty crazy dewpoints lately in SE Sweden! Record is 24.8'C (for an hourly observation) from 2018. My PWS has recorded dew points near or above 20'C almost every day the last week. 21'C orcso has been the max[/spoiler]

No rain today, itโs a miracle!
High was 87 (31 c) with dews in the mid 60s. Annoyingly humid but I will take the dry day.
