Hottest temp recorded yesterday was 34.0C in Heinola near Lahti, breaking the summer's previous record of 33.9C from Hyvinkรครค the day before. Well, at least 34.0C looks aesthetically more pleasing. No record high low temps, but close. Kotka Haapasaari had a 24.1C low, just 0.1C shy of the all-time record, which has been recorded three times.
The averages in Turku for the first 15 days of July has been 28.9C/17.4C = 23.2C, so a healthy 5C above average. The last 30 days have had an average of 27.5C/16.2. But as it looks now, after Sunday it's all over, at least for a while. Monday and Tuesday are expected to be below average. I don't know how I'm gonna survive.

That avg low is a full 1C warmer than Renmark's avg low in any of the crummer months last crummer.

Jesus, that is a bit more than erosion. Just heard on the news 80 people dead. Yes, already more deaths than from the 2002 floods in eastern Germany, and the count is expected to rise because there still many missing people.

Donar Radar analyses show there're areas which locally received 8-10" of rain in only 12 hours

Donar Radar analyses show there're areas which locally received 8-10" of rain in only 12 hours Wouldn't surprise me at all, conventional precipitation collectors likely underestimated this event. Problem with radar is that the raindrops didn't necessarily reach the ground but this is more problematic with hotter temperatures.

Had t-storms today and yesterday. I got around half an inch of rain from each day's storms. The airport picked up 1.87" from today's storm! Glad they got a big amount as they've been missing the brunt of other recent storms. Up to 4.95" at the airport now for month to date and high storm chances remain over the next 7 days with 70% chance or greater daily.

Picked up 7.7 cm of pure snow thus far, but currently the bulk of the action is on the Brindabellas (Wee Jasper area). I'm waiting for that classic "Selwyn Rotation" (WNW curve) to hit meโwhich is currently just about reaching Hunters Hill.
I'm flat on 0ยฐ C at the moment @ 948 m; I too note that a PWS in Wyangle (just outside Tumut at 457 m) has been recording sleet, so likely a snow level of 600 m or so.

Back down to 0ยฐ C in the mid afternoon after a max of 1ยฐ C, with intermittent snow showers (bringing my event total up to 11.4 cm)โand Hunters Hill got a fresh 9 cm from these recent rainbands over a 4 hr period.
The next rainbands making landfall in SW VIC have me right in the firing lineโฆshit's about to get real!
