We officially got 10mm of rain yesterday in our little evening downpour, that was nice! Also had a high of 33.8C which now brings our average high for the month up to 29.7C! We're supposed to hit 31C today and tomorrow (and we've been exceeding our forecast high a fair amount lately), could we maybe sneak in a 30.0C average high for July after all?! Badly need rain, within the exception of last weekend, itโs been smoky/hazy here all month long. Looks like here weโll finish with a max around 29.3C or so and low of 14.3C for the airport. Downtown lows were quite a bit warmer.

Amazing weather. High/low of 84/72 today and blue dome skies with sustained winds in the 20s mph, and dews into the 40s now! Super comfortable and dry in the downslope NW flow. Feels sorta like the Santa Ana winds today.

High was only 69 (21 c) today. Honestly not too bad when I was outside since it was dry and sunny in the afternoon, but still too cool for summer.
Today was the 3rd sub-70 high this month, the most since 2009. Will also end up as the coolest July average high since 2009.
Additionally, itโll be the first time since 1976 that June was warmer than July.

Up to 25.2C so far today with Hurricane Mcghee getting initialized, some fake rain clouds moving in. But in reality, should be no shortage of rain going by this July's track record. Meanwhile, it's 13C in Adelaide

Another round of severe T-storms looks likely for northeastern Spain & northern Italy tonight, though high MLCAPE values look to be concentrated off the Spanish coast [read the article for further detail].

Very muggy morning here, 86 F (30 C) with a 77 F (25 C) dew point as of 9 am after an overnight low of 80 F (26.7 C), today will be hot with a predicted high of 94 F (34.4 C) and a 30% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon.
Forecast is boring AF, practically 92/79 (33.3/26.1) every day.

Mountains of California got some un-handsome cold rain. Really good for them, could help prevent a few forest fires. a station in Yosemite valley recorded an inch of rain in the last 3 days. Map is 3 day rain total from a few days ago, so from earlier in the week. I'll posted a week total map later

Low was a chilly 50 (10 c) this morning, by far the coldest of the month. This was the coldest July temp since 2015.
Up until today, July 5th had both the highest and lowest temp this month at 90/56. However, today ruined that stat.

A hot couple of days are coming up in much of the province, and on a long weekend too! La Loche at 56 degrees north has a forecast high/low of 32/18 for tomorrow and 31/20 for the day after, very impressive for a northern location like that. Saskatoon is at 33/16 and 34/18 for those two days.

smoky from wildfires earlier this week. not a map you'd see often Smoke is in the upper midwest today. Milwaukee's in the orange. A large part of the country is yellow, looks like the northeast is the only region without at least some yellow at the moment.

There was an EF-3 tornado in Bucks County, PA on Thursday, 7/29.
And many other confirmed tornadoes in the region from that storm.

Saskatoon is on track to record its driest year on record. The previous record was 2001 and right now we're 20mm behind where they were at this time of the year. Our wettest months have passed now and the forecasts for August are showing almost nothing in terms of rain. So unless we suddenly get some significant rain later this month or in September it looks like 2021 stands a very good chance of being the new driest year on record here.

One of the tornadoes barely missed my aunt's house in Mt Laurel. She could hear it, but no touchdown in her neighborhood.

Doesn't even feel like summer here today. Barely inched up to 70 F, and now I have overcast drizzle with NNW winds.
