Using midnight-to-midnight as is the NWS standard (and my preference), and using example numbers: The temp reaching a low of 25'F Monday morning, and then a high of 80'F Monday afternoon, and remaining at 70'F at midnight would mean Monday would have a low of 25 and a high of 80. Let's say, using your template, that Tuesday morning's low was 65, and the high was 80 again that day - before temperatures dropped rapidly in the evening to 25'F at midnight. Thus, Tuesday also had a low of 25 and a high of 80 - sadly preventing recognition of the impressive 65'F low Monday night. That's unfortunate, and I had to struggle sleeping through this warm march night too, ugh Some stations are still 7 to 7, right? In that case it would record an 80/65 day. I prefer midnight to midnight also.

New doppler radar halfway between Mildura and Renmark just opened. Now I can see fizzers in 4K.

With our very mild and sunny forecast I'm hoping the snow melt will be mostly done and dried up in the next week or so and then I'll finally be able to go for a car wash. My car basically looks like it's been off-roading (it hasn't) but there are still too many wet and muddy spots in town to consider getting it clean right now.

omegaraptor Candleur it's kind of ironic that it's called Cold Bay when its winters are warmer than mine on average, and among the warmest in the state.

Great for summer weather almost the whole year - with epic record highs to boot. Only thing I don't like is how concentrated the precipitation is within a short period of the year - I prefer a more even distribution, but it's hard to find such at that kind of latitude.

Yeah, nah.... looks dodgy, but happy to be proven wrong......

Following up our discussion about the new Mildura doppler radar with jgtheone , could the new radar have bought a good omen? Deep booming thunder, high winds, dust!

Well we figured out the problem with the old radar. It made the storms around Renmark literally invisible due to range issues. Now the new radar has found them again.

Yeah 40 C in every month is not that unusual at all. Plenty of places where that's occurred.
