The Mexican one is BS though I don't see a problem with 1400m asl and 33'C highs with a 90ยฐ sun and half a year of drought. Mexico City, relatively nearby, has 27'C highs despite being at over 2200m altitude.

Something I've been wondering recently is why a lot of the Hawaii has a winter precip max instead of a summer one. Honolulu lies in an obvious rain shadow but the med rainfall pattern is noticeable. Why would somewhere at 21N not be impacted by the ICTZ and also still be impacted by westerlies in the winter?
Yes water temps are rather subdued but are they really low enough to be a factor in preventing convective rainfall in summer like in most tropical locations?

I've noticed, in my area at least, that airports always seemed to report lower dew points than non-airport stations. Here are the current dew points in F, with the airport stations circled in red. Noticeable difference between them and the other stations. Why do you think that is?

Got these relatively new neighbours who like to eat outside on the front garden even when it's really cold. But they haven't gone out to eat outside when it was 23ยฐC the other day.

Disgraceful weather so far, this Spring aside from a select few days has been utterly shit. Today feels freezing, it's just 6c which is almost 8c below average for early April and the rest of the week is just as bad, more of the same in a month that is supposed to average 15c now.

Heathrow's low this morning got to -2.4c. The April record is -2.6c. Nothing above 12c in the forecast, and that's the warmest it'll get.

What has happened? The * values are my estimates, as the Met Office haven't released the corrected data yet.
Sep 2020: 183.7 hours (117% of 91-20 avg) Oct 2020: 57.2 hours (50%) - dullest on record Nov 2020: 48.2 hours (68%) Dec 2020: 39.1 hours (71%) Jan 2021: 30.8 hours* (50%) - 2nd dullest on record Feb 2021: 62.3 hours* (79%) Mar 2021: 98.6 hours* (79%)
That's a 6 month period with just 66% of the average sunshine.

Perth will get a good amount of rain from cyclone Seroja. Let's see how they'd like it there.
