Even here, there're a few wankers in the shoutbox who troll you for being a heat lover (hardly to the degree on WZ or NutWanker), mind you.

End of the week's warm spell, what a zzzzzzz. Downgraded to 24 hours of warm weather* followed by one of the coldest and wettest weekends in history. I would rather have sunny 20 degree weather for four weeks than one "hot" day of 28 degrees followed by that pustule infested buggery. Literally everything in this cli-mutt gets downgraded to fuck. Warmth in summer, thunderstorms, blizzards, cold spells, you name it. I know this is a maritime climate but even so, wish models wouldn't tease us so much like this. Blah. Boring ass climutt. No storms or anything interesting for months and months and months and months. A one-day "heatwave" with the weekend blighted by 10°C and constant light rain drizzly shit-cuntery. POO. This 24 hour lukewarm blip will not end in any kind of thunder of course. I have to watch youtube videos these days to remind myself of what thunder actually sounds like. *Note: I don't particularly enjoy hot weather (nor cold weather for that matter) but I DO, as a weather observer, like seeing interesting stuff happen, and am disappointed with the constant erosion of anything remotely interesting happening in this climutt. So, no more forecasts for me. Lead you up that garden path. Pffffft. Rant over!!!! Have a nice jolly old day chaps!!!
Same here, forecasts are always downgraded to something less interesting. And if a thunderstorm somehow survived the downgrading, of course it steers clear of this shithole while nearby towns enjoy epic weather.

Only trouble with the warm weather is that you sweat up a storm on the bike. As such I deliberately went as slow as possible to avoid soaking my clothes. 7mph average speed lmao. Not for lack of energy, just to avoid sweating. The route was all uphill.

I just went to the Sheffield Botanical Garden and noticed they have Banana trees growing outside. Never noticed before, thought they were only in the south.

There must be a reason why the hellhole that's the south coast (looking at you Batshit Bay) gets spared from cloud cover. I have noticed it all this month. Is it a dumb fluke or does Sydney and up just get more exposed to the southerly flow clouds? These guys are even spared from heavy flooding events. And I thought Perth was spoiled....

I wasn't trolling though. I hate heat too. But 22 degrees simply isn't hot. I'm not going to "acknowledge" the warning. I can't honestly be bothered to post on that site of boring easily offended snowflakes.

I remember back in the old City-Data days, a couple of people (including myself) were against Sydney Observatory Hill being represented as the "official" climate station for Sydney as most Sydneysiders don't even live around there. It is situated on an exposed hill in the harbour. Rainfall is pretty constant there, compared to rain recorded in the Airport and the inner west (which aren't that far inland). It makes the city as a whole look terribly wet for its location, when the most of the inland areas averages between 800-900mm. So Sydney Airport being the official weather station for Sydney, yay or nay?

Why is Hawarden always the hottest place in Wales? www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/hawarden-always-hottest-place-wales-24530294Incorrectly phrased, it's not the hottest in terms of averages, but does consistently record the highest temps during heatwaves, despite being in the north. It's one of the few inland areas that's at a low elevation. The Cheshire gap also allows weather systems to move up towards the area unobstructed, including any foehn heat from the Shropshire hills to the south.

Weather systems flow up it like a river. It carries on going up towards Hawarden. The weather station is located near the gigantic white building in the far distance, the Airbus factory. Cool fact: something like 40% of the world's commercial aircraft wings are built in that factory!

POR; Max: 96 F (35.6 C); Min: -27 F (-32.8 C)
Seems 1951-2000 was the most continental time period here, while the most recent averages are the least continental.
