(Facepalm) Hoping the company announces a new personnel appointment to send them to the Guianas and try spending there a few years.

Sounds like the average French person is as as the average person here when it comes to understanding the climate they live in. <iframe width="16.100000000000023" height="3.240000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 16.1px; height: 3.24px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 0px; top: 0px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_44831677" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="16.100000000000023" height="3.240000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 16.1px; height: 3.24px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 749px; top: -122px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_14599462" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="16.100000000000023" height="3.240000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 16.1px; height: 3.24px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 10px; top: -14px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_70556998" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="16.100000000000023" height="3.240000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 16.1px; height: 3.24px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 749px; top: -14px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_96582407" scrolling="no"></iframe> I just think people everywhere are not very smart about weather

On average the med coast is muggy and hotter than Paris, though I believe central/northern France can get more intense heatwaves? When I went in August 2016 it was 35ยฐC in Paris and when I went to the med coast it was practically relieving. But only for a few days was this the case. Of course most of the time Paris is oceanic rubbish not much warmer than London.

Paris is like an upgraded London essentially. Not much good to say about Paris aside from that

Yeah, but what I'm getting at is that the absolute max temps on the med coast are limited by moderation from the sea so heatwaves don't appear to be as severe, i.e. Nice has lower record highs than Paris. But that's only when they actually happen, of course. Otherwise clearly the med coast is more muggy and warm.

Paris is like an upgraded London essentially. Not much good to say about Paris aside from that Paris is a downgraded London in the winter, it is noticeably colder and gets more snow.

After suffering through this stable oceanic bullshit the past three weeks, I'm starting to think some instability in winter is a good thing. 8/2C with clouds and cold drizzly rain for months on end sounds torturous. Not that Paris is any better, does seem a bit more interesting tho

That appears to be a foreign stereotype some cling on to. Most of what rain there is in winter is showery and brief.

Very nice climate, quite livable for Florida. Tho I still think the climates in northern Georgia are better Surprises me that anywhere in FL would have average lows in the 60s during July. Even though it's just 69.7 F, but still quite moderate for FL standards. Thereโs actually a place by Lake Okeechobee that averages lows in the 60โs during the summer.

It very much appears to be in the balance where this spring goes. Sadly easterlies and northerlies seem set to take hold again from Monday to Thursday, further cooling down the Baltic Sea with all that renders. An ice day may well occur as shockingly late as March 29 this year which is basically unknown at this place. Normally the Gulf Stream inflow is far too strong at that time, snow can occur, but temps don't stay above freezing 24 hours in a row, rather coming as short polar blasts quickly being supplanted by the maritime air and 33ยฐ sun.

Looking at the temperatures coming next week it seems that there is a big weather pattern causing repeated attacks of north easterlies because Beast no.3 is coming again apparently. Gulfstream and jetstream are dead, and the winds have reversed against the usual flow. Coldies on netweather must be celebrating this like christian fundies would be the second coming of Christ.

Let's hope the summer is full of easterlies then.
Of course, it won't be, it'll probably be ruined by N or NW winds.
Will the impossible happen? Could we really fail to record 20c in spring? Will it actually warm up at all or will we have an NI crapfest?

Literally the only way I would want this was if we can get an April ice day just to say we've had one. We've had a high of -1.3C on 23rd March and a (rounded) high of 1C on 25th April before but nothing colder than that in April even though it's obviously possible. I definitely want a warm summer now (or even a sunny summer would do), we deserve it after the last few years.

I can believe it would happen here. In April 2012 I had a high of 1ยฐC on 4th.
