I can't remember a recording of 25C as early as May 10th north of / inside the Arctic Circle before. It might have happened, but I can't remember it. So what is the earliest date any place in the world inside the Arctic Circle has recorded 25C?
Might be a new record actually for Scand The Nordic Countries. Rovaniemi's earliest 25C day seems to be on 15 May at least since 1960.

No, sorry. I deleted the post because I was an idiot and thought the date next to the all time record high was the date of the all time record high, but it was also next to 2017's May record high which it actually represented.

Just look at how widespread the snow is now (updated 6:24 AM); down to about 665 m AMSL at Crooked Corner, Bigga, Peelwood, Sofala, Tuena, Woodstock-Wyangala and the outskirts of Bathurst & Goulburn:

Meteorologist has confirmed it is a national record for Northern Norway. Who says the world isn't warming? Even our lighthouse weather stations, far from any UHI, are getting warmer. Not to mention the Arctic.

Don't worry, the deniers say it's just normal fluctuation of temperatures. It has been colder and warmer before, no big deal. Even Svalbard's 75 (or was it 80) consecutive above average months is "normal fluctuation", though it's beyond anything that has happened ever before in such a short time. And all the migratory birds coming earlier almost every year to Finland, Sweden and Norway is also just a fluke. They are birds after all, not human, what do they know?

I found a map a meteorologist did to recreate the conditions of late July 2010 when the Finnish heat record was recorded, but in early July instead when the sun strength is higher. If the sky is clear, breaking 40C on one or two stations would've not been impossible at all. And this fictional map is good wanking material at least bro jajajajaja:
Fucken please let it happen like this July!

I just found a climate in Oklahoma with an average July high of 97.5°F/36.4°C. I have yet to find a climate with hotter July days east of the Rockies. It seems weird how there's this one spot with really hot summers in southwest Oklahoma/northcentral Texas. I would expect it to be farther south, but it makes sense that it would be inland from the Gulf and not at high elevation.

On May 10th, it was exactly 20C (Værnes) at 22:00, and one hour later it was 11.6C. Sharp drop! Trondheim-Lade had three consecutive 25C+ days, never recorded before this early in May. Trondheim Airport Værnes had two 25C+ days. Luckily that cold air is being pushed away and warm air to return www.weatheronline.co.uk/Norway/Varnes.htm

South Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland cash in with epic thunderstorms yet again. Cool and drizzly here, yuck.
We had some nice lightning off in the distance yesterday, but no thunder or rain.

What the fuck. Yesterday SMHI said we were supposed to be 23'C. Now it's 20'C at 9.50 already, and SMHI is forecasting 28 fucking degrees. Our record high is 26.6'C.

Oh guess what? The temperature peaked around 23'C after all. Why the hell would SMHI change the forecast from 23'C to a ridiculous 28'C like that?
