some cloud caps on low mountains. I think it's a maritime thing. Nova Scotia: Northern California: How different does Nova Scotia and California look like from my photos?

A very warm early May night. 15.4C low here, 19.5C low at Tafjord. Sandnessjøen near the Arctic Circle (66 N) recorded overnight low 19.7C. Could have been «tropical night» at some station.

MetEye (updated 6:40 PM) displays snow for parts of Vulcan State Forest & Shooters Hill, from about 1,228 to 1,354 m AMSL. And yes, the snow has now started to fall here The deep blue "pistol" character marks where the snowfall occurs, though it is bound to be much more widespread as of now, as it is not yet updated to this very time (9:09 PM):

Impressive 3.9C reading at Nhill in Western Vic around midday, only 133m elevation. Lots of sub-10C readings around.

Looking at the Model Output for the day of my flight to Italy, on monday. Could be an area of low pressure over the area, maybe a turbulent flight? I hope so, turbulence is great fun.

Looking at the Model Output for the day of my flight to Italy, on monday. Could be an area of low pressure over the area, maybe a turbulent flight? I hope so, turbulence is great fun. Make sure you fill us in I had a turbulent ride from Abu Dhabi to Melbourne back in Nov 2015, I remember before takeoff the captain said it will be a smooth ride. Bullshit. The cabin crew were told to be seated multiple times, mostly over India, just after passing the Western Australia coastline and near Adelaide. Some storms from near Indonesia Approaching some heavy weather over South Australia and the radar of what we passed through, we were tossed around a fair bit. Flight attendants were told to strap in. Could hear the engines surging, they were trying to outclimb the anvils, no chance, the loaded 777-300ER maxed out at 36,500ft, still well below the tops of the anvils.

LOL look at this pathetic chart for 16th of Gay. I'll be on holiday at the time, but look at the UK, with a green blob of low pressure centered perfectly on top of it. Even everywhere to the north like Scandinavian countries have none of this low pressure. I swear the UK literally attracts these lows spinning over it for some unGodly reason. The jetstream moving south into its "summer position" right over the UK.

That's the standard position since 2007. The entire reason for our cloudy summers since then.
The normal summer position of the jet stream is between Scotland and Iceland.

Business as usual here, not that much anything tropical or "from July".The certain trees what I have observed / remember for 25 or maybe 30 years started to flourish on 9th.That is normal I'd say although in most cases those very trees have been in blossom on 8th.Just 8th is a birthday of my relative, thus I know it well.

This place north of the Arctic Circle made it to 25C / 77F today May 10th: Reipå (S of Bodø): www.infoclimat.fr/observations-meteo/temps-reel/reipa/01114.htmlSituated W of a mountain range called Saltfjell, it surely has been helped by foehn. Reipå was third warmest in Norway, warmest was Trondheim Airport with 25.4C, and Trondheim-Lade 25.3C. Here is the place which almost had a "tropical night" last night, Sandnessjøen: www.infoclimat.fr/observations-meteo/temps-reel/sandnessjoen-stokka/01116.htmlI can't remember a recording of 25C as early as May 10th north of / inside the Arctic Circle before. It might have happened, but I can't remember it. So what is the earliest date any place in the world inside the Arctic Circle has recorded 25C?
