Drammen 6 days with 30C+ incl today.
Eggedal has 8 days incl today. For Norway as a whole: 11 days above 30C so far in 2018.
A different story in the far north: Tromsø has not reached 17C this June. Made 23C in May though. Might well be their cloudiest June ever recorded.

Canada is a land of contrasts this week - parts of Newfoundland just had a bunch of snow today while Windsor, Ontario is expecting to have a 37C high and 26C low on Saturday.

Don't see what's unusual about that. It's almost July and they SSTs of 33 C right now, plenty of heat in the atmosphere in that region of the world at this time of year. That's like being surprised that somewhere sets a record low at the end of December...

Warmest month by average temperature is in June. Not much seasonality in the tropics + maybe some trade wind shift?

The overall lack of thunderstorms here from 2013 onward is remarkable, I know a 5 year trend isn’t really indicative of a climate shift, but it’s amazing (and terrible), I’d be really interested in knowing the mechanics behind this change.
Way less convection, more humidity, way snowier winters, colder Marches + warmer Decembers, extended dry/wet patterns. Just odd.
