Activity seems to be going up, which is good. But who is "tromy"? They haven't posted yet, it seems.

What is the first thing that comes to mind about these posters:
- Babu - Wildcat - snj90 - Ariete - aabc123
Is it their climates? No, obviously not. - Babu - getting shat on - Wildcat - getting pissed on - snj90 - worshiping His Holy Splendour - Ariete - wanking to Sanna Marin - aabc123 - taking shit too seriously and being a tool

We've reached a point where the forum base has become so stagnant, that the loudest voices here are from unfunny trolls and liars/cretins like GayJ1013 and MassivesHIVes and most other members are becoming less and less invested in this forum. I engage in that type of thing myself from time to time, but that type of non-activity (along with boring politics) turns off potential new members in here, I'm not sure if that decline and eventual death of the forum is reversible.

^^ so I gotta say that despite all the neg connotations re posting or indeed even reading Shitty Data weather Forums, I'm actually enjoying the banter and discussions between AA, Paddy and Ed.... it is actually entertaining.... They dont have a shoutbox to provide instantaneous brief gratification...all the arguing, different points of view etc are made within the Topic for all to read in the short and long term.

On the two last pages of the newest replied rate climate / climate battles, two threads have gotten more replies than Babu's "Your body proportions" thread.
I rest my case.

You mean you think most people aren’t interested in knowing that today was 81.2/67.3 at Ben’s PWS but 82/66 at the airport? And that yesterday was 87.4/69.1 with partly cloudy skies?

I like many of your climate battles, because you tell a story behind them. Like the Finns and the Gins, and that mining town where everyone lives underground. They might not create a lot of replies, but they are interesting to read at least.

I couldn't care less what the forum thinks of myself anymore, and I don't take requests involving grammar policing of any kind (original or not), sorry.

I haven’t been on much the past couple months for several reasons, but one is the lack of interesting activities. While traveling I didn’t log on at all as I saw there were no interest in new threads to reply to. And the shout box is 90% “89 with an 84 f dew. Amazingly comfortable, look what an alpha male I am for loving this humidity” “92 f with a 79 f dew. Dry as fuck because I have the best humidity tolerance ever not like you pussies”.
I agree with Ariete, need more politics or things to debate. Weather is interesting of course but when it’s the same thing being said over and over again.

Yep, all the lively characters that actually provided stimulating weather discussion were either banned or left on their accord due to the toxic attitude here. I still read C-D threads frequently. While yes, you get your fair share of morons on there just like we do here, no one can pretend that the activity there is inferior to what goes on here.
I've said it before, this forum is basically just a chat room based on lazy memes and the occasional weather-related comment. I think this forum would be much better off without the shoutbox.

I like the shoutbox as it allows you to say whatever the fuck you wish to say and not worry about other members seeing what you've said weeks/months later, and it's the main reason I've stuck around here to begin with. It's a double-edged sword though, as a lot of the toxicity is in there as opposed to threads, where people are more likely to vent their frustration out on and/or pick on those they see as inferior.

All joined in 2017. As did most currently active posters. The forum recruited more people in the first 6 weeks than it did in the subsequent 6 years. There lies the main problem.
