July here was quite disappointing & was largely cool & wet, apart from a week of warmer weather during the middle of the month. Thorney Island did come in bang on the 1981-2010 average, but highs were cooler & lows warmer. Being a few miles inland I did get 2/3 days here around 30C, but the coastal stations (apart from Southampton Oceanography Centre) didn't reach as high. Rainfall was well above average & we did get a few thunderstorms with torrential downpours. Sunshine was below average. Stats from Thorney Island Met Office station Av.Mx 21.1C (-0.6C) Av.Mn 14.1C (+0.6C) Mean 17.6C (0.0C) Highest Max 26.8C (19th) Lowest Min 9.8C (11th) Lowest Max 17.3C (5th) Highest Min 16.0C (28th) Rainfall 91.2mm (204%) Days with Rain 13 Max Rain in day 25.2mm (26th) Days with Thunder 4 Sunshine* 200.8hrs (87%) *from Gosport Max UV 8.2 (18th) Min UV 5.9 (28th)

Synopsis: After the 5th hottest and 11th driest first 6 months of the year in recorded history (Data begins in 1895) Tucson had the wettest July and calendar month in history with a whopping 8.06" of rain on 20 days. Because of the much wetter and cloudier than normal weather temperatures in July came in below normal. In fact, for the first time in history two consecutive July days had high temperatures in the 70's (77F on the 24th and 79F on the 25th). Keeping July from being well below normal temperature wise was a heatwave in the first half of the month that included five straight days reaching over 105F with a peak of 109F on the 10th. Temperatures: Max: 109F (10th) Avg High: 97.2F (-3.0F) Min High: 77F (24th) Mean: 85.8F (-2.4F) Max Min: 83F (9th) Avg Min: 74.5F (-1.8F) Min: 68F (25th) Precipitation: Total Precip: 8.06" (364%) Rain Days: 20 Thunderstorm Days: 15 Highest Daily Rainfall: 1.50" (25th) Wind: Max Wind Gust: 67mph (30th)

Average July conditions Mean maximum: 17.8°C | Average high: 13.9°C | Daily mean: 10.1°C | Average low: 6.4°C | Mean minimum: 0.2°C Average precipitation: 38.0mm | Average precipitation days (>0.2mm): 15.7 | Average relative humidity: 80% | Mean monthly sunshine hours: 136.4
A fairly typical July, almost exactly average in terms of temperatures. Sunshine was a bit below normal, as was rainfall, despite a few rain bearing systems. The most notable event was probably a sub 0C low on the 8th.

What an absurd despicable ASS of a year this year has been in Melbourne. The temps are bad enough, but those sunshine hours are deplorable. Is there any data on the suicide rate this year compared to average?

Here's Umeå Other stations in the vicinity I've stopped using my PWS now, but it used to record similar if not higher lows compared to this Uni roof station, but the Uni station does over-record a little on sunny days. This one's a couple kilometers west of the city. Seems to record very reasonable values, although since it's just 5-minute readings, the high will probably under-read by 0.2-0.4'C and the low will probably over-read by 0.1-0.2'C. Temps vs 1991-2020 (2011-2020): High: +3.2 (+2.8) Low: +1.2 (+1.0) Mean: +2.6 (+2.3) Precipitation vs 1991-2020: 80% Sunshine vs 2002-2018 (91-20 data coming in a couple days): 133% It's been a very warm and sunny July, with very consistent warmth being the key feature, with only three days being below 20'C and zero days below 19'C. No 30'C temps though. Also worth noting is the very high dew points. There's only official data in 1h intervals, with the highest reading being 19.8'C. All PWS in the area, as well as my own one, managed to record dew points around 21'C, with multiple different days reaching 20'C dew points. Rainfall was mainly from three different thunderstorm days (one on the 30th) which meant rainfall amounts, especially in the end of the month before the third thunderstorm hit, was very localized, and while some parts of town were pretty green, other parts had near completely yellow grass, and are seeing yellowing, yellow or completely bare trees now as a result of the drought conditions. So far this has been the warmest summer in decades if not ever; both June and July being above average is very rare. Great summer!

And Stockholm 1991-2020 as reference: No idea where the sun data is pulled from since there have been no published 1991-2020 sun data except Jan-Jun so far from what I know.

I don't have access to my PC, so for now only a short summary without Wiki box for Aachen Orsbach.
Our record high was colder than the avg high in Turku or Stockholm, and our avg high was significantly colder than Umea's and Göteborg's, and even Sheffield had warmer temps! Overall a wet, cloudy and cool month. Thankfully I have spent the last week at home and experienced at least some temps in the upper 20s.
Rec high: 25.5 C Avg high: 21.7 C Mean: 17.5 C Avg Low: 13.5 C Rec Low: 10.0 C
Precipitation: 232.2 mm Sunshine: 170.7 h

And here's the sunniest station in the Nordics (presumably). Very sunny summer, but May as well as the entire low-sun year was disappointing.

Here there is my quick summary for the last month around my place. Turin airport weather station (reference for the region) Turin Giardini Reali weather station, representative of the urban area (with UHI and everything) Here instead is the closest weather station to my home village: Using the Turin airport data as a reference, the month was rainier and warmer than the 1971-2000 averages (about +0.6°C for the highs and +1.1°C for the lows ref), but looking at the old data I have for the Susa weather station this was also the coolest July since 2014. The general impression, in comparison with the last few years, was that we were hit directly by heatwaves less and that we were getting more unstable weather from the other side of the Alps than usual.

Unbelievable how much warmer and sunnier Auckland has been than Failbourne, not just this July, but for this whole record gay year.
When a city on a narrow isthmus on a tiny island is that much warmer and sunnier than a city at the same latitude straddling the world's second largest tropical/subtropical desert on a continent, there is a problem. There is a BIG FUCKING PROBLEM.

Bloody neglected to post my stats due to being high. But here we go. Renmark, July 2021Yeah sorry, no creative pisstaking obnoxious names and gifs this month. How this month ended up above avg is a mystery to me, because it was a shitty cold wet month. Well, that's the 3rd month since the Start of 2020 that was above average then. Anomolies: High temp: +0.2C Low temp: +0.6C Rain: +13.2mm

Speagles84 July 2021 Summary Bit cooler than average, wet early, then drier. Overall a pretty great July by our standards. Warm spells, then cooler spells, but no 90s or 40s so pretty stable month overall.
