Much cooler today, only got to 65 (18 c) before a cold front moved through. Had some yucky mid 50s moderate rain with featureless grey skies in the afternoon. Only 0.07” (2 mm) was recorded, felt like more than that fell.
Month is now tied with 2015 through 29 days so no record. This will almost definitely will have the hottest September average high though.
Of the 13 months I’ve been here, this is now 2 that have had the hottest average highs ever but neither were record warm by mean.

Last fell below freezing here on the 2nd of May. No sign of doing so anytime soon though - and a freeze in October is far from guaranteed.

We had our first handsome thunderstorms (with heavy rainfall) this late afternoon. Pretty nice stuff.

Min 8C and max 14C at Riga airport. Sunny most of the day, but light rain has come at 5 p.m. Very nice colors. I have to wait another 2 weeks for this, but there is some color starting to show up.

Good morning! Today a mix of sun and clouds is expected in Latvia, afternoon rain is possible only in the extreme South-East near the border with Belarus. A slow to moderate southeasterly, southerly wind is blowing. In the morning, there is fog in some areas. Currently, at 10 a.m., Riga airport is reporting 9C, high should be 15C. 2 October morning in Latvia:

AJ1013 2021 had the third wettest monsoon on record in Tucson—a stark contrast to last year.

This map seems ahead of what it actually is. Definitely not peaking in the Great Smokey Mountains. Seems accurate for Minnesota though.

This map seems ahead of what it actually is. Definitely not peaking in the Great Smokey Mountains. Seems accurate for Minnesota though. map has 3 counties in eastern TN as "near peak" not "peak", maybe it's going by higher elevations in those counties and you saw mostly lower elevations? But it has Berkshire County, MA as "near peak" it's mostly unchanged. Leaf change is late in a lot of the northeast and it's a prediction not an observation map.

rainfall in the last 3 months. Some areas are above 30 inches which is crazy high for the Northeast
