There have been already 2 such days in Riga in August! Today, it has got above 15C in Riga though...
And Oslo hit 25C today. Some parts in SW Norway hit over 27C.
But I'll give them a pass. Oslo had a way cooler June and July than we had.

Everywhere in purple experienced a once-in-two-centuries type of event Perfect map to explain the recent events of TC Ida and just how crazy it was, especially in Jersey. Map has my area of LI in the 1-in-10 or 1-in-20 zone. Rainiest day of my life, using LGA station. Even wetter than April 15, 2007 (which is the 2nd wettest day, also over 6.5" of rain).

Low of 53 F today in Nyack. That is more like the average low for the end of September. High of 71 F. alex992 : Sucks to be in Florida. The cooler than normal weather ends near the I20 corridor.

Oh there is a new thread. Fucks sake. Have to relocate my post then. Yesterday it was 34C. Today? Had thunder/lightning today, lots of close strikes and loud booms and cracks. Was weird though, the sky was basically slate-white with no form or features, but still there were some bright flashes outside my window. Looked black coming in, looked like a basic overcast stratocrapulus overhead - wait no, 'twas even more featureless than stratocrapulus. Weird. For once the BuM forecast of storms actually came to fruition.

Low/high today was 15/16C, with most of the day around 11-12C with lightning under pasty white slate cloud. Today was just weird. Cold, white featureless sky, with blinding pink flashes and ear splitting cracks.
Melbourne's temps were 20/23C and Mildura's 21/25C
Not often Melbourne has a 4C higher low than the high here on the same day. Also nuts that just across the road the low was 5C higher than my high.

A substantial upper low will usher in an Arctic airmass to eastern Europe as well as European Russia into this weekend.

Looks like Saskatoon's off to a mild start for fall with highs in the low 20s and lows in the upper single digits most of the week.

Had a frigid overnight low of 74 F (23.3 C) which was aided by storms early in the evening and the temps just remained "cool". 78 F (25.6 C) with a 76 F (24.4 C) dew point as of 8 am, headed up to 92 F (33.3 C) with a 60% chance of showers and storms today.
Forecast looks quite stormy and not a single low of 80 F or above predicted, weather's a little bit better than it was in August. Still shit though.

Actually had a thunderstorm last night, only the 2nd one since I got back here. Of course it had to come while I was at the football game but it was pretty short lived and warm enough out.
It poured for like 10 minutes, but only 0.02” (0.5 mm) was recorded.

Here, the NW cloudband brought 31.2mm up to 9am Saturday morning, and 14.2mm up to 9am Sunday morning. Already wetter than August.
The grass is again emerald green after a yellowish tinge began developing last month.

1.3C low last night. Widespread frost and freezes in many parts of the country. Not funny.
