Congrats. Would be the highest September day in Finland since the start of recording.

The dewpoint has fallen to 49F (9.5C). We haven't had weather this dry in quite some time. It felt refreshing walking around outside today.

87/50 (31/10 c) today. Highs have been summer like but nights have been noticeably chillier.
NWS has 96 f the next two days, TWC is less conservative at 99 f. The September record is 99 f (in 2019 and 2020 lol), so this could make a run at it.

July-like here as well, but that's not a surprise in early September. Overnight low was 76 F (24.4 C), we're headed up to 93 F (33.9 C) here today with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms. We've getting cucked hard by thunderstorms the last few days.
September so far has had wider diurnals than average, averaging 91.9/75.8 (33.3/24.3), average MTD is 89.7/77.2 (32.1/25.1). The airport has had 3.85" (97.8 mm) of rain so far, average MTD is 2.80" (71.1 mm), the airport has been getting hit more with storms this month than here.

Been out to Mount Pleasant Park this afternoon. What's quite noticeable is how parched the grass is. After two months with less than 30mm rainfall this summer, the grass is straw-like and yellow, veritably dead. Would have took pictures but my phone's memory was full. Might get some tomorrow.

Today could very well be our final high in the upper 20s of the year.
We have a forecast high of 28C and then the rest of the week is in the high teens/low 20s, with the 14 day forecast showing a slow, gradual descent of temperatures. By the time we get to late September the chances of getting back into the upper 20s are pretty low.
Either way, it's been a damn good run this year!

Be thankful even for small things.
I guess I should, but this September has been so catastrophic that it's difficult to feel thankful. It's like giving a one-day rehab for an alcoholic who needs prolonged help.

This is totally going to happen!! Take it to the bank! 72/50 here I come I hope it verifies, and I hope that Tuscon has a record cold winter. Cold west = warm east, generally. This would make us both happy.

This is totally going to happen!! Take it to the bank! 72/50 here I come I think the pattern will be the opposite of that, and Tucson will get a bunch of 100°F highs in October! Don't be such a Botev.
