Quite the stormy night last night with very heavy rainfall at times - I ended up with 4.11"! The most in a day since June 1st. More than double what I got in August. Frequent lightning strikes.
The airport only got 1.09". Storms intensified as they went over my area.
Storms were associated with a weak cold front. Forecast temps today of 90/67F. Was 96F yesterday and pretty muggy.

We hit 29C yesterday and have a 28C in the forecast for the middle of the week. Looks like even with our fall cool-down we're still getting some fairly warm days.

Summer wasn't that hot, but it also doesn't look to be going anywhere anytime soon.

Temp ranges:
Today: 94/49 All of August: 93/50
High diurnals, chilly nights, and very low humidity were the features of today and yesterday. Relative humidity was below 10% for good chunks of both days.
Warmed up from a colder low than anything in August to a hotter high than anything in August today. Shows how stable and boring August was.

1.3C low last night. Widespread frost and freezes in many parts of the country. Not funny. We had a similar situation. Naimakka in the north recorded an impressive -5.9'C, and frosts were recorded very far south. Hagshult at 57°N recorded -2.5'C. Arlanda Airport recorded -1.7'C and Tullinge station, a frost hollow in southern Stockholm recorded -1.2'C (0.8'C at Bromma and 6.2'C at the UHI station). Eskilstuna recorded -0.5'C too. Umeå airport however still hasn't recorded a single freeze which is pretty surprising; normally tends to be one of the very first stations in the entire country within 30km from the sea.

Practically a carbon copy of this today, except the predicted high is 91 F instead of 93 F. I hope we get something today, we got fuck all yesterday, just boring shit.

We've got a beautiful deep blue sky here this morning, the milkiness and haze from the summer is definitely gone.

Nice start to the day with low around 52 F. High of 87 F today with dews in the mid-upper 60's. Then a strong line of storms swept through the state. Luckily only lost power for 5 minutes so far. Hope that's as bad as it gets. Pink spots on the radar got a big hailstorm:

Scotland has recorded its highest September temperature in more than a century. The Met Office confirmed a high of 28.6C in Charterhall in the Borders on Wednesday – the warmest September day since 1906 when Gordon Castle in Moray reached 32.2C.
