Got colder than predicted last night, overnight low was forecast at 33 F (0.6 C), it's 30 F (-1.1 C) as of 7 am here with a 28 F (-2.2 C) dew point. It'll warm up fast though, predicted high is 58 F (14.4 C) with sunny skies.
Of course, now there's cloudy skies forecast at the time the aurora is supposed to happen, because you know, of fucking course. Just my luck I guess.

Shitchester is up to 7.64” (194 mm) this October now, making it the 4th wettest October and 11th wettest month ever.
Joins 1873 as the only year to have 2 months with >7” of precipitation.
Hopefully some snow tomorrow here, October has been a real snoozefest except the one hailstorm.

Wyndham, deep in the north east of the Kimberley region of WA finished the month ( Oct ) off with only the 2nd day below 40c ( 104f ). The run of +100f ( 37.8c ) commenced on 26th September ( although Sept did record 19 days above 37.8c ( 100f ) Oct mean monthly max temps were 2.0c above the Oct normals, comming in at 41.6c. This is a huge anomaly in a region that sees very little variation year to year.

Max 13C with sunshine and a southerly wind. It is clearly late autumn, birches are those rare trees having at least some leaves.

It's looking like multiple days next week could struggle to hit 50°F (10°C). It could rain on these days too, leading to some rather miserable weather. And that's after every day so far this fall has gotten up to at least 61°F (16°C).

Really, birches are those rare trees that are sometimes still with leaves, as well as some willows. I even saw somewhere else birches today which were mostly green - they seemed to be planted ones. These in this photo are wild. In the evening.

First real cold day of the season, it was in the 30s all afternoon (high was 45 at midnight). Had some light rain in the evening and maybe some sleet or even very wet snow, but nothing stuck so probably not snow.

Forecast high of 1C today. Originally it was 0C. Looks like we'll probably narrowly miss having our first sub-freezing high of the season. Last time we had one was on March 30th.

Clouds are keeping northeast and part of central Oklahoma cool, while it's warm in the southeast part of the state. There's a stationary front stalled across the southern portion of Oklahoma.
