Today ended up being the coldest day of the season so far at 1.7/-9.4(C) / 35/15(F) Here too, high was 39 (4 c). Also had the first measurable snow with a whopping 0.2โ (0.5 cm). Stuck briefly in the morning but quickly melted. Could snow tonight whichโll likely be the last snow chance for awhile as 60s/30s October type days return to the forecast Wednesday.

Gigantic diurnal range yesterday, the max/min yesterday was 62.1/58.7ยฐF (16.7/14.8ยฐC) with 1.08" (27.4 mm) of rainfall at my PWS. Will get a mostly sunny day today with drier air filtering in behind the surface low's attendant cold front before the main upper trough drags another slow-moving cold front closer to the region Wednesday. With ample deep moisture, and its sluggish nature of it (nearly stalling for much of Wednesday), Wednesday alone will possibly exceed October rainfall totals for much of the regionโwith rainfall amounts between 2-5" within 24 hrs likely.

A follow up on my post on the high precip-totals in Bergen: From the Met.no summary: Record in Bergen In Bergen, a precipitation record was set with 641.4 millimeters of precipitation in October at the Florida station. This is the highest monthly rainfall measured in Bergen city center regardless of the month. The normal rainfall for October is 268 millimeters. From January to September, Bergen was set to have one of the driest years since the measurements began, but the October rainfall means that the western village is currently approaching its 11th driest year since 1900.
The wettest stations were Gullfjellet (Bergen, Vestland) 875.1 millimeters (114 percent more precipitation than normal)
Brekke in Sogn (Gulen, Vestland) 859.4 millimeters (130 percent more precipitation than normal)
Hovlandsdal (Fjaler, Vestland) 747.0 millimeters (110 percent more precipitation than normal)
www.met.no/nyhetsarkiv/tredje-vateste-oktober-pa-120-arThe Norwegian October record for highest monthly preciptiation is 1117mm in Brekke in 1983.

Fizzler derping wazzup, fizzler herping whaddup, fizzer wazzup fizzer colour me surfucked herpistan, the closesrt thing to storms here was some gay light rain, while all the storms developed and herped off into NW Vic and Nuked South Wankles as per fucken usual in my furry, pooey BOMFAIL bunghole I think today will go down in history. "Thunderstorms likely, possibly severe" according to the official BUM forecast, and what happens, a few minutes of gaybo light showers. Penis fucken Mcghey. Hell, there were even promises of "possible heavy falls, large hail and gusty winds". Got 0.2mm of rain at the airport BUM station Atleast, the temps performed to expectations. Low 21.0C, high 29.3C and humid. 'Twas sweating like a bitch while gardening today, and my beer, the cardboard holding the 6 packs was sodden through by the time I got them home, and the bottles were completely wet. Melbourne had a 22.4C low, but was gayed up by the fucken 9.00am reset, so will only be officially 16.3C. Fucken joke. Why is this antique 9am shit still a thing, BOMFAIL BUMMERS?

Cooler than expected today here with ample cloud coverage for most of the day; today's high of 57.2ยฐF (14.0ยฐC) which also occurred at 1:21 AM at my PWS breaks the 195-day streak of highs equal to, or above 60ยฐF (15.7ยฐC). Should see continued precip. chances Friday even as the cold front slowly pushes southeast of the area, before a warm front lifts north Sat evening as an area of low pressure develops to the southwest at the surface, and high pressure builds in to the north and eastโbringing another round of showers ahead of it Saturday afternoon. Sunday should be a warm, and mostly sunny day by early November standards with highs in the lower to mid 70s for the area with upper ridging in place, likely being the last >70ยฐF high of the year:
