This is the second year in a row where it's been above 20'C with some snow on the ground. Something very rare. Even the city probably has some snow piles this year unlike 2017.

Snowfall at Corin Forest, ACT near Canberra; 1,200 m AMSL; 35° S. The polar front will lash my neck of the woods quite shortly—Black Springs averages 11.6 snowy days (no sleet counted) annually, whereas Corin Forest lies at 11.0. I never posted these here or on CD but it's from December 2016. Well, this first one is on the Coquihalla highway just east of Hope, heading east. I was driving and taking pics on summer tires. Just barely made it through there as they closed it due to heavy snowfall. Car felt good though: Fast forward and we're now in Lake Louise. Temp was -9C with light snow: Walking on the lake which had a snow depth around 1 meter: My car looks good in the snow: Waiting for avalanche crews to finish up. This was at Rogers Pass between Revelstoke and Golden: Somewhere slightly east of Rogers Pass:

It wasn't my car btw. alex992Here's some low golden sun pics I took in the mountains above Anchorage. Camera wasn't so good though. This was in October 2009:

Snowfall in the Austrian Alps on Sunday morning: It snowed also on the Dolomites. For example this picture is from Misurina, a really small mountain village at 1750 m of altitude The news report that it snowed down to the altitude of about 1200 m in that sector.

^^ nope. but there is a station in tarfala (at 70m lower elevation) 60km SSE of låktatjåkko that has climate data. they should have fairly similar climates.
