No more snow, just an update.
October: 0.2" November: 7.8" December: 3.7" January: - February: - March: - April: - May: -
Season: - 11.7" Snow depth: - not even piles anymore
This is bullshit. Last year by this time I had nearly 20" and a depth of 6". Fuck this mild pattern. Knew it wasn't good getting snow and freezing highs in late October

Our snow cover is dwindling out here. Still enough to keep things white in the grassy areas, but it's definitely not a lot. With a potential snowfall tomorrow afternoon and then seasonal temperatures after that, it'll probably build up a little bit again.

after the rainstorm passes us, a clipper with leave some snow in upstate NY and New England. Enough to cover over ice on the ski slopes but it won't be a lot. Speagles84

White Christmas in most of Sweden this year. More than half the population of Sweden probably.

Not much snow in Wisconsin this morning. Some spots in the center and then most of the north has snow, but some spots near Lake Superior don't have any. There will be more in the north and west after the latest storm passes through, possibly the whole state.

The winter of 2016-2017 seems even more unreal now after the past few warm and wet months here. We can barely manage a minimum temp below -1C these days rpvanPeople were skating and playing hockey on Trout Lake:

today's snow map. the snowline is pretty much where you'd expect to find it with a mild start to the winter.

We used to get winters similar to those on a much greater frequency. After 1996-97, our winters really took a turn for the worst. Prior to that, we could expect a good winter every three years or so...1995-96, 1992-93, 1990-91, 1988-89, 1985-86, 1984-85, etc. Upon reflection, 2016-17 was pretty much on par with 1992-93, which, at the time wasn't considered very cold or snowy.
