We got a bit of snow last night, just a light dusting. Didn't stick to the ground but roofs and vehicles are currently white this morning. There's a chance of flurries in the forecast for today, after that we will hopefully be done with snow for the season.

Well that's how Kandelbashi, Mount Kandel, Hokkaidosawa or all of your fantasy climates would look like buddy bro Explain that away, jajajaja! 🖕🏿Mörön🖕🏿 -san Oi, fuckhäd. I never said I want to get buried alive. Kandelmenbashi et al, would NOT look like that snowy northern Swedish hellhole in the slightest. What do you say about that?

This Northern Swedish hellhole in the picture receives only about half of the annual snowfall of Kandelmenbashi for an equally long winter with similar temperatures to Kandelmenbashi, øy How does the rest of that melt 🖕🏿Mörön🖕🏿 ? After all, -5/-13 endless winters aren't the most useful for snowmelt! Let's see here: Kandelmenbashi's snow season: Nov: 1.2/-4.3 = 197 cm Dec: -4.8/-10.1 = 189 cm Jan: -5.5/-13.3 = 174 cm Feb: -4.1/-12.7 = 131 cm Mar: -3.6/-11.3 = 150 cm Apr: -0.7/-7.0 = 53 cm I don't think the Holy Kandelistan Meteorological Service would be able to measure that at the end of March. Simple maths say that 9 metres without any sustained melt, would result in a higher pile than the four metres on the picture Let's say Riksgränsen got 600 cm this year, then a lower-end year in Kandelmanbashi would be 700 cm! Higher-end years though? Uh oh. knot -level glacier then!

40 to 60% seems about right. Last year I had 10" in April which was alot. The little blip around the city in the 10 to 20% surrounded by 20% to 40% is suspect, even with UHI

Have to say I'm a bit surprised by the Midwest. Chicago only about 40%, Detroit only ~50%?

Here's the map for today. Fresh snow on the ground for large parts of the country, more to come during the evening and night:

nei that map is wrong. Only 4 April’s in that time period didn’t have snow so we should be in the 80-100%. I looked up Goodland and 28/36 had snow or 78%, but there’s no 60-80 in Kansas.

Seems to me that <1cm line is a bit larger than on your map Ariete . Even Uleå is snow free it seems. Umeå is actually visible as a darkish spot on the map. Fields in and around Umeå are still snow coveree though. Approx. 5-15cm
