2019 (what's considered a "good" snow year nowadays) vs 1995 (what used to be a good snow year) @ Three Mile Dam near Cabramurra; western slopes @ 1,460 m AMSL: In fact, the disparity is so massive, that 2019 would've actually been considered a bad snow year back then!

A chance of light sleet/snow for Tuesday morning. Would be the earliest of the season since 2010.

Marquette Area on NOWData is the WFO office, not the city. The office is 9 miles inland and 800 feet higher in elevation. The station in the city is on the shore but it only saw 4.7, 0.5, and 1.3" so far for a total of 6.5". Still more than here, but not extreme for the people right in town. The
Except for October, the UP has been way less snowy than usual so far. It was mostly snow free on the 13th, light snow cover there now. But the least snow cover in at least 10 years based on these maps.

Crunch41 good point. The Marquette station is actually located in the Town of Negaunee and often significantly different from the city in terms of temps, precip, etc. purely thanks to geography. The totals I posted for other locations are season-to-date, not month-to-date, and easily 3/4 of that Marquette (well, Negaunee) total is from October.
