Only 2 days of snowfall this Dec - one with an accumulation of 1 cm/0.4 in, and one with flurries.
I haven't had a decent snowfall (>10 cm) since Feb/Mar 2018. Heck, each following year is more pathetic than the previous one in terms of snowfall.

Heck, each following year is more pathetic than the previous one in terms of snowfall. Snowfall in your region doesn't vary by year? In my area (western Washington), El nino and la Nina both have an effect on snowfall. For the past three (la Nina) winters we've gotten decent snow but El nino is changing that
It varies from year to year of course. Example: If I have an Atlantic-driven pattern with W/SW/S flow I won't get that much snow, because the temps will be too warm and I'll get rain instead. If I have a northern blocking over Scandinavia/Greenland then I'll get easterlies that bring colder air from Russia, and if there is low pressure spinning over the Med that brings moist air then I can potentially get decent snowfall. In summary, it depends on the pressure systems and cold air-moist air interactions. The problem is that our winters have warmed up so much that it's ridiculous. And they are still warming up. We used to get a lot of snow pretty much every winter, but now we are struggling to get any. We get a lot of rain though, which I don't want in the winter. In just 20 years my climate has become very different to what it used to be.

I don't know where you're located but sounds like winters in your area are becoming rain-dominated and eventually they will be above the threshold for snow the majority of the time. I live in the coastal Pacific Northwest and our winters have always been somewhat mild, and as they get even milder, snow will become even scarcer than it already is.
I live in Zagreb, Croatia. Yeah, you are pretty much spot on, Zagreb is actually transitioning from Dfb to Cfa climate and our climatologists have confirmed that. Less snow, milder winters and hotter summers

Currently 37Β°F and snowing pretty good. Accumulations are amounting to a light dusting on grassy surfaces, cars and shrubs/trees.

Around 12.5 cm/5 in of snow accumulation today. This is a decent amount, considering that this is more than I got in all of 2023. Had a good day of shoveling.

October 3.3" on 1 day + 1 day trace November 1.1" on 1 day + 1 day trace December trace on 4 days. After a snowy Halloween, there has not been much to cheer for. Snowfall is now well below average. None in the forecast either. Updated through the 26th of February December trace on 6 days January 16.6" on 10 days + 5 trace February 2.3" on 2 days + 2 trace There was 1 snowy week followed by 1 cold week this winter. These stats are from Milwaukee airport which got less snow than I did as I live a few miles inland. Milwaukee county in January ranged from 6.5 to 26.9 inches. Just to the northwest some places were closer to 30. The county border is the black line. Kenosha WWTP in the far southeast of the state, on the lakeshore, only saw 2.5 inches. South and east saw mostly rain from the two big storms. North and west the weather turned to snow sooner. Seasonal snowfall there is only 5.9 inches which is a record low. With 45 years of full data on NOWData the lowest is 16.7 in 1967-1968. The area with 30 inches saw higher totals due to a lake effect snow band that dropped heavy snow in a small area.

Here, there is still snow in the northeastern part of the country which is often colder, in JΓ΅hvi station - 7 cm, and also in the south eastern highlands: 13 cm in the Haanja highlands and 1 cm in the OtepÀÀ highlands this morning. β --- In the eastern part of the European Russia, this winter has been very snowy, even by Russian standards. I also compared the previous years in a few places of Russia, in short, I got the impression that there was not so much snow in previous years. Such a city as Tetyushi in the republic of Tatarstan, 108 cm this morning: 53 cm in Moscow itself this morning, which is certainly more than usual. Nizhny Novgorod 64 cm, Izhevsk 67 cm, Samara 48 c, Tambov 49 cm. For comparison: Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in Asian Far East which is generally a very snowy region - 46 cm. ------- Sapporo in Japan - 83 cm, last year at the same time it had 76 cm, but two years ago it had 106 cm.

I woke up today and looked out of the window, and surprise surprise, there was some snow on the ground. Our meteorologists said we were going to get some snow, and I wasn't taking them seriously, but it turns out they were right. 1 cm of accumulation, so that makes 16 cm in total with 3 days of snowfall.
