November 16 - Peak fall color before sunset on a late autumnal day, with some clouds, and temps in the low 50s and a nice view of the Atlanta skyline

Secondary peak in fall color underway. Oak trees peaking last week here in Raleigh and even out in the countryside . Oaks are always the last tree to giveaway after most others have gone bare. This was today imgur.com/a/IIeXT0S

Shower pasing by a couple weeks ago Some trees seem almost 1 month behind schedule this year. Never seen this, crazy stuff. Typical Yuropean dreary weather makes an apparition, at long last.

Early November trip to a remote cabin 3000 feet up. Was warm entire trip but foggy and misty. Daytime highs low 60s except for summits above 6k where it was 50 and pelting rain and wind. nei Linn cove Viaduct is visible here, these are the slopes of grandfather all shrouded though in heavy fog.
Cabin views Top of mitchell. Prolly Red Spruce Some handsome bloke. heheh. as 50 and felt far colder than that 6700 feet up almost. Sad. bad timing as i was on top of the eastern us

Went hiking at the Pawnee buttes on November 6th, never got around to posting pics. The buttes are in the National grassland about 60 miles east of here. Distant buttes: Trail went over to some low, flatter buttes: > < It then climbed among those buttes, looking down at a mini-badlands area: > < Fun narrow sections atop the buttes: > < Climbed out of those buttes and went through flat prairie over to the two bigger buttes in the first pic. Hereโs a side view of one: > < From some higher points on the dirt road in you could see the mountains. Not sure which ones but a good 65-70 mile distance.

Some early Hovember highlights Thought I'd check out Pine Cliff, during the first peak of fall foliage on November 4. Hopefully the far northern section of Neusiok Trl will be restored fairly soon. Pretty cool to see convection occurring that same afternoon from Cedar Point Tideland Trl. Not posting too many pics for this one since I've covered that in early 2021, though it was fun to bike around it. August 27/November 8 comparison @ Brices Creek. It appears bald cypress trees are one of the first to go bare here.
