I got a D7200 this summer. Would rather have the lower weight of the 3000 series but I have a couple old lenses I'd like to sill be able to use. Used to bring my DSLR on bike rides and just walking around, now rarely bother with the weight especially for local photos. Brought the DSLR for my Greylock ride, fall foliage rides and the one to the park with injured birds, didn't bother for much else local. Your phone camera photos come out very well, is the distinct orange glow from the phone or editing?

also nice winter wonderland photos @kronan ; Scandinavian landscape [conifers, houses] go well with snow. Also love that Norwegian town with light. The Norwegians make their home look less gloomy than it is. Or does sun peek out briefly most days?

It's hard getting a nice color for these Swedish sunsets however.

Anything control in particular you tend to tweak to get a nicer orange glow?

I'd edit JPGs too though just to bump the contrast and shadows and perhaps saturation. For the orange glow, if just saturation and color balance doesn't work you can "cheat" by going into Lightroom's selective color feature where you can change the hue, saturation and brightness of different colors (reds, oranges and yellows for example).

Lol, I said "affordable", that camera is £500 on Amazon . I'll stick with my phone camera It's not 500 quid. It's like 250£. The body is about 300$ on amazon and a kit lens is like 80$. D3200 is pretty much as good and is listed at 230$ for the body. And that's pretty much as cheap as you get with DSLRs. Compact cameras can be cheaper but they're not better than phone cameras except they can zoom. Welp, guess there was an 80$ import fee to the UK. The thing is they haven't really dropped in price even though they're like five years old, and they're not produced anymore. It's sad. I mean I bought my D3200 for 250£, but now it's listed as 350£ on pricerunner 3 years later. And actually, the old model is just as cheap/expebsive as the newer D3400. So the D3400 is 370£ for the body plus a kit lens. It's not better than the older model, but it isn't more expensive either so...
