Today (September 18th) peaks at about 65.6 degrees, down 22 degrees from summer solstice. About 1.5 degrees until the Equinox and 25 to go until winter solstice.

Peak sun angle today (September 19th) is 65.1 degrees, which means a directly overhead sun is at about 1.1 N. It's solar noon in about 20 minutes, shadows are definitely noticeably longer right now than about a month ago.

^ Same, I wish our sun angle was a lot lower though. The sun angles at about 64-66 N seem ideal to me.

Haha Alex... I've never been to Skellefteå in December. But I've been in February. It's bad enough then and then it's still higher at that time than here around the solstice I think you'd enjoy the 8-54 range we have a lot more than the 2-48 up there to be honest The light during midnight in summer is amazing though. I've been in July and it's tremendous.

I would love it if the Earth had a greater axial tilt to experience a larger range of sun angle. Imagine being at 45 N with a 45 degree axial tilt? You'd experience both a 0 and a 90 degree sun angle!

I've been in July and it's tremendous. I like the 2 degree sun angle lol, I love low sunlight in winter. I wouldn't want 24 hour darkness though, that's why about 65 N is ideal.
