looks like I'm getting all 4 Looks separate from another snowstorm coming on christmas, this storm ends Saturday; lull on Sunday then another snowstorm on the 25th. Pulling up the forecast discussion, skipping some technical parts I don't understand. While temps through the day will likely be below freezing away from the coast thanks to this CAD [cold air daming] signature, the enhanced northerlies provided by the mesolow could even lead to an overnight cooling effect, leading to more widespread freezing. Final QPF totals through Fri night rest between the 0.25 to 0.5 mark, and given temps will be in the 20s along the MA NH/VT border, this is where highest ice accums are likely. Will highlight 0.1-0.25in ice accums mainly N of the Pike, with a T-0.1 further S.
All this warrants expansion of Winter WX Advisories. Will be hoisting for all of N CT/RI and the remainder of MA outside of the SE coastal plain (Bristol/Plymouth, Cape/Islands).
Timing...Snow begins early AM in N MA, shifting to the remainder of S New England after sunrise through mid day. Transition to ice occurs late afternoon and evening, with peak accretion expected during the evening and overnight hours Fri.National Weather Service Text Product Display

My god what an ass of a forecast. Showers and cloudy every single day without end and not only that, the temps are in that shitty transition zone between snow and rain so you get that nice damp cold skin penetrating bacteria-farming chill. I'm guessing we won't be seeing Botev for a while then.

Cloudy, damp, drizzly weather for days, if not weeks on end. Too warm for snow, but just cold enough to get lots of disgusting cold drizzly rain and slush puddles

Wow, might be possible to get a week's worth of consecutive ice days for the NYC area starting from the 26th. Not sure if forecasts will moderate by then, but let's hope not! Iโm hoping itโll be the coldest week of the winter. Letโs get it out of the way early on.

Christmas looks disappointing but at least it looks like we are going back to a cooler pattern. Maybe New Year's weekend will get interesting.

neat visualization. we got an inch of snow, looked pretty and very quiet walking around town tonight. Cold and cloudy in the mid 20s. Cold air stuck in place, warm air streaming above. Neat visualization
1/2 to 23/4 inch of rain tomorrow hopefully liquid. warm enough aloft Mt. Washington will be around 30ยฐF and get some rain. Yuck. Currently 11ยฐF at the summit so a big midlevel warm up will happen there

Actually I hope that we won't see any more sunshine this month. If it's horrendous anyway then at least record breaking horrendous!

35 F/2 C with light rain and a thick, gloomy cloud cover. I stood on my patio this morning with a hot cup of coffee while pretending I was in the PNW. Love this weather. Maybe a White Christmas this year with a couple of inches in the forecast. Turning colder for the last week of 2017. Although today is a little setback, one day of rain isn't going to kill the local ski resort. It's been up and running since the 15th and next week is looking promising.

I narrowly avoided the ice. I have to run out today so I'm glad it's only raining.
