O боже, they're predicting negative temperatures until January 4th now! In December even getting 3 straight days below 32F is not very usual, not it's gonna be happen for more than a week You must be happy to be out of Binghamton for this. I see a high of 10 F/-12 C in the forecast. That said, NYC isn't going to be a cake walk. Some of those buildings just funnel a wickedly cold wind. The worst thing about Binghamton is the cloudiness, just look at the endless parade of clouds in the forecast. NYC is going to be quite a bit sunnier during this cold wave at least. I am definitely happy to be out of Bing for this, cold temperatures+clouds is really depressing to be stuck in

1-3cm of snow fell last night in and around Metro Vancouver. Flurries are continuing to fall at this hour.
As expected, the Puget Sound region around Seattle got the most snow out of this system. Hearing reports of 2-5 inches over there.

Im in NYC now, not Binghamton. Also why Bignhamton? Such a random place for a birthday lol There are no above average days in the forecast here until January 8th, and forecasts are generally bullshit more than ten days out, so that's not even guaranteed. Definitely looks like the strongest cold blast here since February 2015. Thankfully my parents' house has excellent heating

Ha, the people going to Times Square for the Ball Drop are in for a real treat this year: Forecast is saying it could be as cold as -12C that night. Hundreds of thousands of warm-weather natives are gonna have some trouble bracing that kind of cold.

Epic ocean-effect snow per the GFS, not something you see very often; Look at Missouri. Platte county is the one place in the north of the state that is not in the blue It snowed some this morning. We have a little bit on the ground, 2cm maybe on concrete and such and maybe a bit more on grass.
