4.3/-0.9C in Paris-Orly this month so far, with 9 days with snowfall. Youโre back in Marburg right? If so weโve practically had the same weather. Blue dome skies with a few cm of snow on the ground. Dews are quite low, close to -10C where I am in southern NRW. Yeah back in Marburg at least until July Nice that you are lucky with the weather here. Where exactly are you, quite elevated? No snow on the ground here yesterday, only on the hills. Now it's snowing but sadly it's slightly above freezing :/ Expepecting huge amounts on the nearby mountains

The NWS is calling for 64 (18 C) on Tuesday!!
Last time both january and February reached 60 (16 C) was 2006.
That happened in 1890, 1906, 1932, 1985, 2000, and 2006.

A few centimeters fell on top of the old snowpack there. Indeed in Dรผsseldorf there was no snow. Btw yeah there are trains to Paris but unfortunately it was too late to catch the last one. In fact there are even direct Paris-Dortmund Thalys services! Fortunately it is a rather "short" drive.

Beat our forecast high by a solid 3-5F (depending on your source). Airport capped out at 56F, the town itself probably reached 60F

Streaming from the south? screenshot I took makes it look like upstate was covered, too. Maybe the wrong time? via www.wrh.noaa.gov/map/?&zoom=9&scroll_zoom=true¢er=42.2,-73.4&basemap=OpenStreetMap&boundaries=true,true,false&obs=true&obs_type=weather&elements=temp,dew&obs_popup=true&obs_density=1

It barely missed hitting 80F today, with a high of 79F (26.1C) this afternoon. Dewpoint in the 60's.
Slightly cooler for the weekend, but early next week approaching 80F again...
Probably not long until trees start forming leaves.

GFS has backed down on the cold easterly next week though some blocking is suggested...

No forecast highs below 40F (5C) in the forecast after this Saturday. None. Nada. Nil. Obviously could still change a lot in the 11-15 day forecast, but goodness. The average high this point of year here is still only in the low-30s

we're getting 4-6" of snow Saturday night; high of 63ยฐF Tuesday then 65ยฐF Wednesday.
Mt. Washington forecast 44ยฐF on Tuesday might break the February record by a degree. For some reason the January record is higher than February

Looks like they upped the expected snow totals from tomorrow night's snowstorm in my area. Now they're saying 3-4 inches.

Potential for record cold temps in Seattle next week. Don't let the alternative facts from a certain CD member fool you otherwise
Record low for February 20th in Seattle is 25F, guess what the forecast low is for next Tuesday? 25F

Cumbium must be pissed that the west is cold and the east is warm. He's getting half a foot of snow tonight so focusing on that. He posted a series of excited posts on the upcoming cold in the Pacific Northwest and inadvertently trolled Botev.

Bay Area forecast to get snow, down to 1000 feet. Sea level might see a few flakes? Wonder if any could stick, might make some neat photos; big contrast from a few weeks back. Guessing temperatures would vary more at elevation than at sea level over the month. Areas frost? San Francisco doesn't get a frost every year so this airmass is quite cold, looks like a consistent 5ยฐ difference during most of the cold spell. San Francisco's forecast 2000 feet in mountains 40 miles or so to the south here's the last week in San Francisco (downtown) and a mountain 15 miles north at 2300 feet (700 m). the mountain station has less of a normal diurnal cycle, temperatures don't keep dropping overnight. Not sure if I trust those dewpoint measurements but the San Francisco numbers are from an official station unlike the mountain one.
