Sounds awesome, what did it feel like to finally have an ice day? Hopefully many more winters for you like this It feels amazing. It makes me miss living in a climate with proper winters. Strange how we're getting this weather at the end of February which is usually a very shitty time of year here. Might be for selfish reasons, but I'm really happy for you guys! Looks like you still got tomorrow to enjoy the cold, altho it looks below average there until at least March 3rd

Partially cause I'm enjoying the warmth, partially cause Botev is fucking annoying and its nice to see him shut up for a while

After today's rain we are up to 8.55" this month, which is second all-time for February. With more on the way tomorrow we could challenge the record.

7.19" of rain so far in Alexandria this February with more coming as well; about 2 inches above the monthly normal. February 2012 had 11.70" of rain.
February was on the dry side in 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Now you guys know how I feel. I can handle a day or two around 60 F/16 C but getting close to 80 F/27 C is just rediculous. I had to use the A/C in my car that day. Thankfully reality slapped everyone in the face as the toasty conditions were followed by two days of rain and temps in the 30s.

Through 23 days, this month is the 12th warmest February and the 8th warmest by average high.
With the last 4 days all supposed to reach at least 48 (9 C), this month should easily end up in the top 10, and maybe the top 5.

Officially 11cm at YVR (Vancouver airport). Most of the city and suburbs received a lot more, around 20-35cm. Measured 28cm IMBY.

I would be majorly pissed off if I lived in northern NJ and we were having 80 F/27 C temps in February lol, at least a consolation prize is that type of warmth this time of year is never long lasting.

Low was 68 F (20 C) last night and we had a couple of very heavy rain showers around midnight - 1 AM.
Forecast is looking way above average for the next few days (shocking, right?) but it's looking like a pretty good cool off around March 3rd, predicting highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s for a pretty extended period of time. God, I hope it comes true. Nothing special for this time of year, but much better than the 85 F highs and 74 F lows we've been seeing.

Exactly, thankfully it doesn't last long. Like I said, here's to hoping for a below average March and April. I'm sure Giorbanguly would appreciate it.

Here's the mid-level temp diagram from the GFS ensemble for Paris. Let the 850 hPa temps plunge! All in all it will be a brief cold snap. Without snow on the ground and with wind, there's no hope of reaching these temps at ground level. Yes, it is nice to look at as far as diagrams are concerned, but it will not be any wintrier than the beginning of the month locally. Ice days wouldn't be a novelty either.

It was still mild for nighttime in the upper 30 when I was out at 11:30 pm. It's raining now, got snow overnight as our map shows. Enough to make a light coating of snow on the grass, but not much more. Forecast to be in upper 30s and cold drizzle rest of the day. looks like dry and warm will happen next week; I see warm and sun every day this week except one. All of January February has been rather variable, seems like a lot of fronts; January was the cold at the beginning and then leave. Less polar air digging now, and next week looks like it'd be a relatively quiet zonal pattern except for that March 2nd storm. Pattern is more like an early spring pattern for the last week and upcoming next week. Looks like cold air swept in from the north yesterday night; it'll leave once today's system passes. Often winter fronts like this one pull in mild air, but that's stopped by another front in Virginia and that blocking high over Atlantic Canada is doing something

Rain, rain, rain with temperatures steady in the upper 30s to low 40s. Should start to dry out this afternoon. Early-to-mid week will be sunny and in the 50s before another rainstorm moves in. It'll be more like early April rather than late February this week.

Had a good bit of rainfall early this morning. I thought we would get a late night thunderstorm, but it appears the rain didn't start until after frontal system came thru and it cooled down. More rain throughout the day. The temp may not get above 60F during the day, but of course it was 73F at midnight so that will be today's max.

The cold spell is starting rather similarly to how November 2010's cold spell started. I remember the clear blue sunny days before the real crap snow and cold arrived.
