Rain is finally returning tomorrow after a 12 day dry spell. Don't think we will see major cold or snow until Jan.

Rain is finally returning tomorrow after a 12 day dry spell. Don't think we will see major cold or snow until Jan. west coast ridge is done? For now however long range models are showing the ridge will redevelop once again late next week and potentially last thru New Years.

still not 20°F; taking forever to warm up. This morning minimums for our region. We didn't reach the forecast 4°F for some reason. Upstate was much colder; Westhampton really stands out at 2°F. Either colder air masses in upstate New York or better conditions for radiational cooling. North Country; some very cold temperatures in the Adirondacks and northern Vermont & New Hampshire

Today we'll be above freezing in NYC for the first time in 4 days.
Average max/min should be 6/0 C! I guess it was a brief lucky break this December.

Warmer and pretty wet over the next few days. NWS calling for quite a bit of rainfall the next 7 days! Maybe the moderate drought will come to an end soon.

It's only halfway trough the month and already 100 mm of precipitation. Normal for the month is 70 mm. How do you like that sari? And tomorrow is likely the first ice day of the season.
