It's a beautiful day today, low this morning was 51 F (11 C) and it's currently 63 F (17 C) with a 34 F (1 C) dew point and sunny with a nice breeze. Excellent. High heading up to 73 F (23 C) today with sunny skies.

New York has now recorded 5 consecutive winters receiving over 30" of snow...first time since the 1880s. This reiterates my earlier point about how winters in the NE have been getting colder/snowier recently.
I wonder how Botev would react if Seattle saw 5 consecutive winters with above average snowfall...it just doesn't seem possible given how recent winters have gone.

If Seattle got five consecutive cold/snowy winters, he wouldn't post on C-D for those five years.

Ended up getting 8" of snow yesterday. More than half has already melted in the strong sun today. Islip got 14" to make the monthly total 27.5", the snowiest March on record there.

This morning's lows. That freeze on the Ile d'Yeu in the Atlantic must be pretty late for the locale.

Part of the reason why they're so snowy is because the recent Marches have been disastrous, nothing but endless record cold and snow. That said, we've gotten quite a few record warm months these past couple winters. Like December 2015, and Februaries 2016, 2017, and 2018. The Marches have been shit

Binghamton averaging 0.2/-6.4C so far. Completely brutal month. This is really like a typical February. Unfathomable to have these sort of averages in March on 42N

w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KFXE.htmlHave had below freezing dew points the past 5 hours, even bottomed out at 26 F (-3 C) at 5 PM pretty fucking awesome for this time of year. Yeah, I know I'm repeating myself a lot, but it's impressive lol.

we're the warmest place north of southern Virginia today; further south had snow, clouds may have held the temperatures down Nor'easter skimmed the coast yesterday, think Maryland got the most snow. After the low departed, north wind but mild. Brought in dry air. we had a fast drop at sunset; now we're no warmer than the Northeast coast (warmer than Boston, which was much colder in the afternoon). Here, and New Haven southward is in the mid 40s not much snow from yesterday's Nor'easter. Valley snow hole lives!

Low was 49 F (9 C) this morning here, currently 68 F (20 C) with a 40 F (4 C) dew point here, beautiful day. Unfortunately, a warm up will occur the next two days, Sunday has a high of 85 F (29 C) predicted.

Currently at -2.8 for the month here at KNYC. Hopefully the upcoming warm shit doesn't turn that anomaly into something lame Also, this sun is impressive. Melted almost 10" of snow in less than 2 days, it's a puddle-fest out there.

Hopefully the upcoming warm shit doesn't turn that anomaly into something lame For once I agree with you, it's annoying when a horrible cold month has an anomalous couple of days that make the anomaly really lame May 2016 is the poster-child for this. 3 weeks of disgusting cold cloudy shit, but thanks to that one week it somehow ended up above average

nei Yes we got 8.0" here at KNYC. Islip LI got a lot more at about 18" over two days according to NOWDATA, pushing them to 31.6" this March which is a new monthly record. Giorbanguly : Ya exactly, I don't mind if it gets warmer, just wait until April 1st to do so!

Still nice today, low this morning was 56 F (13 C) and the high has been 79 F (26 C) so far. Kinda like a Winnipeg July day.
Forecast shows chances of rain popping at the end of the 7-day forecast, I really hope it holds up. We could use it ASAP.

Latest GFS looks very La Nina-like for the PNW. Cold and wet.
