Bit of a way off yet April 1st. I expect there will be corrections in the forecast before then and it will likely be somewhat closer to normal.

Quick drop in humidity this afternoon as dry line came thru. This dry line feature contributed to the tornado threat in Alabama today. Around noon the dewpoint was 67F then it dropped to 42F by 3 PM. Dry warmth with temp in the low 80's. Temp forecast to drop down to 48F tonight with cold front. High tomorrow of 66F.

Quite an active weather day across eastern half of the US, winter storm warnings in anticipation of winter storm Toby from the mountains of TN/NC all the way through southern New England. Up to two feet of snow predicted for some areas! Meanwhile down here, it looks more like summer solstice than spring equinox, with highs of 90 F (32 C) predicted per the NWS and 92 F (33 C) per TWC!

Forecast highs at the end of next week are 5, 8, 8, 9 C!!!!
Still only average for late March, but better than the shit we’ve been having. Unfortunately two of them are supposed to have rain. Not sure if I’d rather have a few more days of sun and 2 C so we at least have a record to show for this month. 9 C and rain isn’t much better and will wipe out the lowest record high record.
Well at least it’s a sign that this pattern may finally be coming to a close and there’s hope for April.

Sunday is only five days away tho, and this is the first time in weeks that there is anything in the forecast resembling seasonable temps

There were reports of some rain and wintry precipitation in Central and Southern NJ today but it didn't reach Northern NJ and NYC due to dry air. Current 34 F/1 C with a dewpoint of 25 F/-4 C. Winter Storm Warning in effect all day tomorrow:

GFS continues to toy with the possibility for snow on Friday and Saturday. At this time of year, I'd rather sunshine with highs around 15C and lows just below 0C.

High was a whopping 91 F (33 C) at HWO, and it hit 90 F (32 C) at all three weather stations in the area! First 90 F of the year, which is about 3-4 weeks earlier than normal (mid-April I believe is the first instance of 90 F on average). Peak heat index was 95 F (35 C) yesterday at 2 PM, when it was 90 F with a 69 F dew point.
72 F (22 C) with a 57 F (14 C) dew point right now, which is a lot more pleasant than the 83 F (28 C) with a 70 F (21 C) dew point that we had at the same hour yesterday. We have 52 F (11 C) predicted for tonight and 49 F (9 C) for tomorrow night!

Doesn't seem like we'll make it to 12" here in Manhattan, but this is definitely some epic scenery for March 21st.

Snow in Marseille today: Quite rare, the last time the city got now this late was in 2008 (March 24). Apparently it saw snow on April 19, 1991 though!

Kinda surprised that places in Southern Europe get snow this late in March honestly

That's pretty fucking epic! I'm surprised too that snow can fall this late there, especially that April 19th snowfall in 1991. Impressive.

thought the worst of the cold was done up there? Must have been some cold in northern Spain, too. Checked models; looks like it didn't go any further south, but the mid-atmosphere was just cold enough for snow.

A late-season mistral maybe?

very cold march so far. those normals seem to be based on gothenburg city airport (1981-2010), while the data used is from the city center, so the deviations are probably even larger.
