I so damn well hope that maroon patch in Russia and Finland will be strong enough to get its way over here, especially in April, it'd be epic to experience 14-15°C avg highs in that month again like in 2011! 2012 March 2011 April 2016 May Would be fine by me  Extremely unlikely to run into that sort of luck though. |

First day of meteorological spring. It's currently 56ºF here and quite windy with a front moving through. The next couple of days will be chillier but sunny with highs in the upper 40s and lows in the upper 20s.

Wow, first half of March is actually looking very decent for the NYC area. I see no temps above 10C in the 10-day forecast, quite a bit of clouds/rain, and a few frosts as well. March doesn't disappoint.  |

February was great but we’re paying for it big time with a cold March. Highest temp so far is 6 C and nothing in the 10 day is above 6 C. Not even gonna be any interesting cold, just endless 3/-3 C and overcast. 4 of the last 5 Marches have been below average and this year will probably make it 5 of 6  |

Had a low of 55 F (13 C) this morning, the afternoon high was 75 F (24 C) with sunny skies and a breeze, currently 70 F (21 C) with a 50 F (10 C) dew point. Objectively very pleasant weather and so much better than anything we got in February....

Even if it's very mild in late March I don't see any possibility of the month's average getting even close to normal after that ridiculous start. |

The forecast is below average out to 18th March, with a couple of days of average temps. Usually the last week of March has temps in the high teens, but I can't see that happening this year. |
