Sunny and warm all across the PNW this week. Looks like the heat will peak on Thursday.
Highs in Vancouver today ranged from 16C near the water to around 25C inland.

The warmth the last few days has led to a more spring-like look. Crocuses, daffodils and other flowers are now blooming, flowering trees/shrubs are getting small flowers, small trees like lilacs are budding and close to leading out. Large trees are still completely dead but those always come last.
Looks like a classic scene from the first week of April.
Lookig through my photos from last year, Mid April had lots of flowers and flowering bushes, with some trees beginning to leaf out. By the end of the 1st week of my, 90% of trees were fully leafed out.
Going back to 2016, we had some trees starting to leaf at the start of May, but they were mostly bare. By mid May most trees had sizable leaves and by late May all the trees were fully leafed out.
So this year seems about 3 weeks behind last year and maybe 1-2 weeks behind 2016.

Looks below average for the rest of April, but nothing crazy like the first three weeks. More like -5F anomalies. After suffering through endless 30-40F temps, 50F highs should still feel mild and relatively springlike. Looks like this will finish as the second coldest April on record here. The past few warm days barely made a dent in the anomaly, mostly cause of the cool nights that were below average, and also cause 65F weather really isn't that warm for the time of year
Seems like 71F will be the warmest Max this month. This makes it the second coldest Max temp in April this century, only after April 2013! Only 7 Aprils have failed to make 70F, so we just narrowly escaped history

Today (April 25th) was a pretty seasonable day, high of 86 F (30 C) and a low of 68 F (20 C), and much lower dew points than what's been seen recently (dews of 58-61 F (14-16 C) versus 73-75 F (23-24 C)), low tonight predicted at 63 F (17 C) quite nice for this time of year.

5 C high and snow showers forecast for Sunday. WTF! I thought we were done with this shit.
Tuesday and Wednesday are looking nice though with highs in the low 70s on Tuesday and near 80 on Wednesday and sun. Then itโs quickly back to high 50s and rain shit.
So much for a warm May.

I prefer the more seasonable weather of this past week. The hot non-stop sunny of last week was a bit too much for me. Wouldn't have expected that.

Interesting how this year's April has felt stunning despite being below average even for 81-10.
Although according to Infoclimat, Umeรฅ airport has been abive average for 02-16

If Global Warming is real, Northeast US certainly didn't get the memo Almost every March and April in recent memory has been below average, and it's not close either. Lots of record cold months in that timespan

Cloudy morning, cloudy day and then sunny evening. Low/high: 3.4c/10.9c at our airport. WO forecast: 3/11, pretty spot on. Despite a colder than average weekend ahead, April should end up very slightly above the 81-2010 avg, but with something like 0.5c. So for all practical purposes avg. Last April more than 1c warmer than avg was 2014.

Penis McGhee, apparently after the heat wave next week, the rest of May is supposed to go down to below average again If May somehow finishes above average, I'm quitting this forum for a month, not like that's going to happen anyway

Today has been awesome weather-wise, getting quite the storm right now and also had a downpour earlier, and it looks like even more storms on the radar why can't it be like this more often at this time of year?

NWS saying 74, 77, 74 for me next Tuesday-Thursday. Unfortunately chance of rain Wednesday and Thursday but not too high at least.
Still supposed to have snow Sunday but NWS is saying no accumulation. Too bad itโs april 29, May snow at least would have been cool.
Now fuck my life if thatโs the warmest we get this May.
March reached 53 (12 C), an average March gets to 66 (19 C). And of that wasnโt bad enough...
April hit 71 (22 C), normal Aprilโs get too 82 (28 C).
