Barents Sea ice-free all the way E to Novaja Semlja. Some ice remnants left in the Gulf of Bothnia and the Russian White Sea. Source: www.met.no

Trees are still 99% bare here (aside from the ones with white flowers).
I was in far south Kansas City yesterday, in Overland Park around 135th St. It seemed like there were more leaves there than here, but not by much.

Had some handsome warm thunderstorms earlier this morning which dropped about an inch (25 mm) of rain in my area quite cloudy right now as well, and breezy and very humid. Current temp is 84 F (29 C) with a 73 F (23 C) dew point, dews in the low-mid 70s in the area right now (22-24 C).

Well we reached 62 (17 C) today so this April can no longer have the coolest record high on record.
Tomorrow has a forecast high of 69 (21 C) with sun so we could easily hit 70. I actually kind of hope we only get to 68 or 69 so this shit April can actually have stats that look like shit, like being 1 of 12 not to hit 70 or having February record a higher temperature.

Just had some strong storms here, heavy rain, wind and lightning, pretty sweet just stopped raining but radar is indicating some more activity is gonna be coming through. I wouldn't mind a day where it's a total washout, we definitely need it.

In the other thread I predicted that the first 70F in Rochester would happen on April 25th. So if it happens today or tomorrow I'll only be a day or two off. I'll be accepting my trophy and cash prize by mail, thanks

Hereโs your prize: ๐ The low this morning was 32 (0 C) so large diurnal range. Completely clear too, havenโt seen a cloud all day. Last 3 days have been amazing. Next week looks cooler but then some upper 60s at the end of the 10 day.

Gaybo 20c warmshit in NYC again today. But, it was ok with the low sub 0c dews and the fact that the tall buildings easily block the sunshine.
The true asslike weather (30c with 20+ dews) won't start for at least another month luckily.

Was warm and humid overnight, didn't drop below 75 F (24 C) with dew points around the same temperature. Today's high is predicted at 86 F (30 C) with PM storms I hope we get something really good. Yesterday it rained a helluva lot here, everything looks noticeably more green.

Warm today in the western prairies, with a strange cold pool surrounding Calgary: Weird temperature distribution between north and south in the Rockies and western plains:

Next Tuesday: 74 and sun Next Wednesday: 76 and sun Next Thursday: 75 and sun.
LETS FUCKING GO!!!!
Warm forecasts a week out are always conservative and with the sun I wouldnโt be surprised if some of those days got into the 80s. About time!
Normal 1st 70 (21 C): April 1 2018 1st 70: April 23
Normal 1st 80 (27 C): April 21 2018 1st 80: May???
Normal 1st 86 (30 C): May 26 Normal 1st 90 (32 C): June 22

Weird temperature distribution between north and south in the Rockies and western plains: Naturally, I'm just barely on the warm side of the gradient. And the northernmost place over 75F, too.
