Yup. And December is sorta inflated by that ridiculous 2015 month, otherwise it would be in line with the other winter months. Overall winter is the season that has warmed up the least, entire November-March period in general. While July-October has warmed up the most. Because of the Atlantic Ocean we've had very warm Julys here recently. 2015 July was above average even tho elsewhere in the Northeast and in the Midwest it was well below Global Warming is supposed to make winters warm more than other seasons and nights warm than days; shows lots of other local and random things matter more one place for a short time period. In general yes! But there are a lot of quirks to consider

took ilomantsi naarva's 1990-2004 monthly normals, and added pötsönvaara's 2004-2017 monthly averages to that. should be close to the true average for pötsönvaara. a few months are missing.

Estimated 1981-2010 averages for Central London by looking at the differences between LHR and LWC for a decade. As expected, highs are pretty much the same, with lows 1.2c to 1.7c higher on average.

Grainet in the Bavarian Forest. My family went there on winter vacation many times and I have nice winter wonderland memories of that area. The Bavarian Forest actually is a better place for snow than the German Alps (warmer daytime temps there, even at much higher elevations).

smhi has estimated kebnekaises annual mean to -8C, so this should be fairly correct.

I'm taking a head-start and start using the few years short 1991-2017 normals for every comparison, because the legacy Airport station didn't really represent the climate of the city and the new station too well. The October record high is taken from Turku Kupittaa which was only used for a few years for a possible replacement, but Artukainen was eventually chosen. Just as a comparison, Turku Rajakari lighthouse on the approaches to Turku, 9.6 km SW from the centre:

If we have mild Februaries the resort city of Hanko might become the only mainland place to have an "oceanic" climate in the next normals:

Almost only Turku Artukainen 2002-2017 averages. Did I cherrypick a few Kupittaa months because they warmer? OF COURSE, as these averages are rediculous anyway! Would've I liked to drop October 2002 altogether or replace it with October 2001 because 2002 was the 2nd coldest October in 150 years? OF COURSE, but I didn't go that low. Actually, I WILL do that seeing that October 2002 was 5.4C below average in Turku, 3.3C below average in Stockholm and 2.9C in Oslo, which puts Turku at a huge disadvantage. Who are you to stop me jajajaja bros? After all, if these "2002-2016 averages represent the current climate", October doesn't represent it, and never will or have done so. Whoops, by changing that single month the October mean jumped a whopping 0.4C! Ironic also that this was my 2002nd post... edit: Changing October 2002's sunshine with October 2001's sunshine will drop it with only one hour, so I won't change that as it makes no difference.

If Umeå had the same deviations from normal as Freiburg had 2003.

Lund with temps for 91-17, sunshine 02-15 and precipitation for 61-90. The 91-17 was mine. Stockholm as a reference had these temps for the same time period: 0.8/-3.0 1.0/-3.3 4.7/-1 10.5/2.5 16.4/7.1 20.5/11.4 23.6/14.8 22.0/14.1 16.5/10.1 10/5.4 5.3/1.7 2.3/-1.5

What's the differerence between this place and Lycksele again?
Ilomantsi is 99% White in a much more White country than Sweden, and in neighbouring Lieksa local vigilantes beat up a Somali taxi driver for "taking their jobs" a few years ago.
Need more?

I did 1991-2017 for Umeå. Looks like we aren't mading Dfb for the new period, unless SMHI's daily mean calculatilns put us higher.
