Idk, many hours are lost due to terrain. It's been pretty sunny though I wouldn't call it extreme. The average is 45h for the month, and considering terrain obstruction, that's a lot of clear days. If you want you can look up the open data for the sun hours so far here. Btw, a really odd phenomenon that I can't explain is Tavelsjö really consistently seems to be getting way more clear nights than days. Anecdotally it seems to me like 30-60% more nights are clear in Tavelsjö compared to Umeå even though the days are similarily sunny. 57 hours in Norrköping for average, I guess in November that'd be roughly an equal percentage of possible hours, save for a little bit higher in Umeå? Easier path for Atlantic depressions here so it makes sense. Interesting! I've noticed several times this November that a sunny day is followed by a cloudy night but temps still fell even as that happened. Probably the sun strength is still sizeable enough in early November to make a proper mark down here. I've not spend time inland enough, especially during off-season from summer to tell whether that phenomenon applies here. Having said that, the Floda station has rather moderate avg lows for being an extreme frost hollow during those particular events. July 2014 also saw a higher avg high there than here so it simply seems to be a Sörmland version of Målilla I guess

So perhaps 20% above average considering the first half of November has so much more daylight than the other half.

Some pics I took in south Louisiana yesterday. Nice, does your area ever get fall colors? When do the deciduous trees lose their leaves? How many of your broadleaf trees are evergreen? The pics I took Monday were from 50-90 miles south of where I live. It was maybe a little greener down there compared to central LA. We usually get some fall colors in November (peak maybe late November usually), though a number of trees just seem to turn brown then drop their leaves. By December deciduous trees get pretty bare. Flat rural areas are heavily deciduous; hilly areas have a lot of pines. Evergreen oaks are pretty common in towns/cities. Here's a pic I took today. The foliage doesn't seem that great this year. 2014 had the best foliage that I can remember (this pic was taken Nov 7, 2014 in the same spot as the above pic).

Mornings have been slippery recently and a big traffic sign has paid the price.

Cold front just came through bringing gusty winds. Not much rain, though I may have felt some rain drops. Some pics of clouds associated with the front

Still looking rather summery in Central Louisiana, maybe the cooler temps next week will enhance the autumn foliage?

Still looking rather summery in Central Louisiana, maybe the cooler temps next week will enhance the autumn foliage? Maybe so, right now there are two nights in the forecast near freezing. We haven't had a low below 40F since October 29 when it got down to 28F...

Another part of Nyköping's shorewalk, this time 16:05 on Saturday when the sun angle was -5° Pretty intense though how the same pic a week earlier would've been taken at 16:25 or something.

Not my photo, it was taken by a friend, but thought it was good as I doubt many would have guessed it was taken in Malta

Nice pictures. I wish we had wild ivy. Looks so subtropique and nice with lush green stuff in the winter. What's the bad camera?
