Like he did a LOT right for the saints and took us to 2 Grand Finals plus multiple good seasons overall. But idk if he's too old-school coach for the modern era, his last few seasons at Fremantle kinda highlighted it...with ugly contested football (albiet with a very young and inexperienced fremantle team). This is a really big gamble for the Saints and I'm kinda worried it's destined to fail. We'll see how it goes (honestly our defence is probably our best line), but i'm not too confident yet.

Maybe... they ( being a young and relatively inexperienced team ) will drop away in the second half of the season. But yesterday's game ( was a cracker of a match in front of 95,000 spectators ) they let it get away.... modern footy, no lead is insurmountable. Cant give a team like Collingwood a sniff..... |

19th AFL team announced, Tasmania have finally got an AFL team. Due to enter the league in 2027 (and possibly into the state league in 2025 to prepare). I really like this choice as it comes with a new stadium; unfortunately they are demanding it have a roof (which isn't ideal), hopefully the roof is only occasionally used. www.afl.com.au/news/917861/-an-important-and-historic-day-tasmania-gets-its-team |
