SPC showing slight risk for Wednesday. Wouldn't be surprised to see watches and a few warnings issued. It's been pretty quiet here the past six months severe weather-wise. Last time a watch was issued for me was April 13; and last severe t-storm warning was June 11. The NAM is showing this early Thursday morning.

The wet season has drawn to a close with one site having recorded 344 mm rain this month. No real rain in nearly a week. Some hot, sunny days but starting to see lower humidity and wider diurnal ranges. Temps and rainfall over the past week:

High yesterday was 45F, low this morning was 31F. High today is forecasted at 55F with sun. Thank God, our city really needs to see the sun after this hellish weekend.

Currently 53 (12 C) and completely clear. First 50 f since last Tuesday!
Fucking heavenly day for the time of year, it’s about time we got some sun, a diurnal of more than 10 f!
This month has either been warm and humid or cold and wet, I really really miss this cool and sunny weather.

A chilly 4°C high in SW suburban Trappes yesterday, quite a change from the mid-20s a couple weeks ago. Il neige à Paris, la première fois de la saison ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️ Didn't stick in Paris, but other regions weren't as lucky (snow does wonders when few trees if any are bare). Up to 30 cm in Saint-Etienne (500k in the metro area). Not as much snow, but still a cover in various parts of the country, from Orleans to Charleville.

Severe threat tomorrow night seems to be ramping up. I'm in enhanced risk now. A couple of strong tornadoes even possible!

Either way, a very early snowfall.

I wasn't expect anything to stick even for a while, don't know if the French Meteorological Agency recognizes a sleet as a form of the official snow event. But it's worth to take a note!
