We've got a thread called What's the weather like where you are. You can use that thread to post about today's weather in the future. This one is more about discussion, forecast graphs and maps etc. Besides, it's still fall, so let's wait a bit until we start using this thread, unless we're specifically posting about the winter.

I'm hoping for a severe influx of cold in the second half of November and stable winter weather after that. It's been so long since an early or even a normal start of winter that the likelihood is approaching inevitability.

Extremely stable lately with tiny diurnals:
Wed: 36/31 Thurs: 35/32 Friday: 35/32 Today: 37/33
Random warm spike tomorrow, NWS says 58 (14 C). Of course it has to come with heavy rain so pointless warmth. Thatโs one thing I really hate about this climate is winter warmth always comes with rain.

Warm day today to start winter; got up to 78F (25.6C). Humidity was fairly low as a dry line came thru this morning. There was a chance of severe storms last night but they failed to materialize. Severe weather stayed mostly north of LA. Dewpoint had been nearly 70F just before 9 AM; dropped to 47F by noon.

We were forecast to have rain all day today but instead it was sunny with no rain. Well there was 0.05โ overnight but who gives a fuck if itโs raining at 2 AM. FUCK YEAH!!
High was 58 (14 C), the highest in almost a month. Warmest December temp since 2015.
Very unusual to get a warm winter day with sunshine, lucked out big time.
Perfect day to be outside.

Sunday's high was 61F, highest since October! Bye, don't come back til April. Snow showers and 31F right now, the next week is very stable looking. Highs 29-33F, lows 19-24F, which is more like the end of December, but I'll take it light snow of an inch or so Thursday

The heat wave has peaked and is winding down with more normal temps forecast for next week. The high yesterday was only 0.3 C shy of the monthly record. And one site recorded a 29.0 C low yesterday morning.
